Charming is the Dark Knight's second main
spell category and encompasses some of the
best spells, especially Fear.



Dark Might + Fear


Spell Name: Dark Might
Skill Used: Occult.Spells.Charming [minimum: 60]
Gp Cost: 230 + 20 for every point added.

This spell allows you to draw the powers of darkness into your body and to vastly improve your physical strength. The amount of power that you may draw is dependant upon your skill. To summon this power, you must focus it through a precious gem.
This spell increases your strength for a short period of time. Through intense physical conditioning, and mental preparedness, you can exert yourself to perform superhuman feats of strength.

This spell is a stat booster and thus is a great spell :) With just a 18/70 int and base str of 17, I could still raise my str easily up to 19. Dark Might is not stackable with Ring of Power or Yohimbe Bark. This spell is a great boost but requires a gem for effectiveness. It is castable only on Dark Knights and low level wyverns. The gem component used for it is not consumed, so get a cheap gem from either Rhone (Dragon's Egg) or Treemalking mines, or Kilgoran mines.

Occult.Methods.Chanting
Usage: cast fear [target]

This spell lets you instill fear into your foe. The higher the level of your foe, the less effect this spell will have, and vice-versa. Different creatures can react in different ways. The more evil you are, the higher the fear level you can cause. The spell has a better chance of working if you are extremely evil.
This spell takes advantage of you evilness, overall level, and skill in occult.methods.chanting and occult.spells.charming. The more evil you are, the more fear you can inflict upon your foe.

Yet another good spell for DKs, but not the most reliable either. Combining your align, level and chanting, this spell can be very useful. If you are beyond malevolent in alignment, this spell can be VERY fun. It is based off charming but is a form of death magic because it can cause DEATH in good-aligned foes (I am not sure of this, but I was told this by another). Most of the time though, it will paralyze your target or cause your target to uncontrollably flee or force your target to attack you. Many people have found this spell to be effective against Paladins and other good aligned characters.
