Call her Ada, it's easier than tying your tongue in a knot trying to pronounce NAH-dee-ay. Just looking at her, tells half the sordid story. It's apparent that she's not had to work a day in her life. She has the sort of skin that's been meticulously gaurded from the sun, and the sort of posture that's been rigorously schooled to graceful attention. You know the whole rigamarol about finding a suitable husband. Well, anyhow. She's led a sheltered life. Her mother is heir to a small merchant outfit (not that she cares a fig for business)and has managed to always have a husbandly figure present, despite the annoying habit all her husbands have of dying on her, to run it (the merchant outfit).
This was the way of life Ada was accustomed to, better than a common worker, less than a noblewoman. Until her most recent stepfather inevitably decided to make his life easier by ridding himself of the discomfort of her presence. Ada was the only one who stirred her otherwise bidding mother into rebelling against the latest husband's heavy-handed ways. That was the only issue Ada couldn't keep her mouth shut about. She loved her mother too much to see her pushed around and spoken down to. In the end it cost her her home. (For the most part, Ada is a peaceable creature.)
So, she was hustled off to the Tower, never more terrified in her life. Except for the time that her first step-brother had pushed her off a dock into the River Eldar and thus prepetrated her on-going fear of any water that might hold unknown perils. Ada also has this unreasonable fear of freezing to death, so she'll be the first to remind you to wear warm boots and gloves. There is also a minor fear of large, obstreperous dogs.
Appearance: A respectable height for a woman, and a figure that's been carefully watched for fear of plumping. Her hair is a darkish color, that shines like tarnished gold in the sun, and her eyes are a murky gray-green.
