I like to watch tv. A lot of tv.
Well, I just went to a Christian music festival and had tons of fun. While I was there, we listened to a speaker who talked about television. He said that is was a sin, not because of the sex and violence on there, but because it breaks down relationships between people and Jesus was all about people having good relationships with one another. I really think this has some merit, so I am trying to cut back on tv, but I still do have some favorite shows, so keep going!

The X-Files
The X-Files is a really cool show on Fox on Sunday nights. It's about two FBI agents, played by David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, who investigate paranormal activity. You should watch it some time - it's easy to become obsessed. There is a news group dedicated to this, the greatest show: alt.tv.x-files. If you want to find out more official information, click on the picture above! The movie, Fight the Future, was great! You can check out info on it at http://www.fightthefuture.com. And don't forget to GO SEE IT!

Star Trek
Star Trek is a great futuristic scifi show. It began in the sixties, with what is now called The Original Series (TOS). That starred Willian Shatner, Leonard Nimoy and DeForest Kelley. The first seven movies were about this crew. (Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and Star Trek: Generations) Then, in the eighties, a new Enterprise and a new crew were created, called the Next Generation (TNG), starring Patrick Stewart and Jonathan Frakes. Two movies were made about them, Generations and the newest movie - First Contact. Two more new series were launched in the early nineties, Deep Space Nine (DS9) and Voyager (VOY). DS9 is a space station which guards a worm hole in a war torn area. It stars Avery Brooks and Nana Visitor. VOY is about a new star ship, Voyager which was thrown through space by an entity to a point over 75 years away at warp 9.9. I really like VOY because it is the first regular star ship to have a female captain, played by Kate Mulgrew. Robert Beltran plays her first officer - once, he auditioned for a part of a Klingon, but he had no idea what one was so when he got there, he had to ask. He didn't get the part!
Mission Genesis
Mission Genesis is a SciFi channel original tv series. It's about some people on a ship to colonize Earth again after everyone was killed off by a plague. It's a lot of fun to watch though the effects can be cheesy at times.
The Sci-Fi Channel
I love the SciFi channel! It's great. It has wonderful original movies and shows great reruns. I watch seaQuest on it almost every day. It also shows Space: Above and Beyond, Earth2 and Sliders, as well as shows like Sightings, Cnet Central, the Web, Inside Space and SciFi Buzz.
