FACT FILE: S-34 Valor
The Valor is the larger, warp capable version of the S-30
Valkyrie. One of the few vehicles in the SFMC inventory that is equipped
with both force fields and deflector shields, it is intended to operate
inside and outside of a planetary atmosphere. It has the same mission as
the Valkyrie, but it was also designed for emergency recovery in space
or other hazardous environments. The S-34 Valor is equipped with two important
pieces of hardware. First, a pressurized docking collar can be extended
up to 2 meters from the bottom center of the vehicle, sealing itself to
a standard airlock door or even to the flat surface of a hull. Cutting
torches can then be used to effect an entry into a disabled vessel. Second,
the interior of the vehicle can be divided into compartments via force
fields and bulkheads into separate and self contained areas. This prevents
the spread of biohazards, like chemical or biological agents, or microweapons
like nanites. Carrying six stasis units and a complete Field Medical Team,
the Valor is capable of evacuating and treating up to 36 wounded personnel
at a time. Pilots who fly this vehicle must rely heavily on countermeasures
and armed escorts, as there are often surgical operations being conducted
aboard during flight.

The Equipment Rating System
The preceeding descriptions of aerospace craft use a rating
system, rather than precise numbers. This is to simplify the factsheets,
and to make it easier to understand how each specific aerospace craft compares
to others. A value of zero (0) means none, while a value of 1 means minimal
and 10 means maximum within a given statistic.
