Welcome to the all new and improved

SPACEDOCK

(Now being run by Valkyrie Innovations, Inc.)

Welcome to the SpaceDock. To those of you who are regulars you will notice that we have undergone a bit of a change. We are no longer "Metal Syren'S Space Dock". We are now simply "The SpaceDock". Under the new management, things will be a bit more organized and hopefully, updated more often. Also, our server here (you all know and love Geocities) has given us twice as much space to play with. So, now, we will be able to add larger bits of information.

Alright, enough of the dull info. We have five independant sections. The SpaceDock, which you are currently visiting. Shore Leave, a gathering of misc. information on differnt O.C.C.'s, weapons, hand to hand combats, and so forth. Research and Development, which will feature the ever so cool StarFighter Production Factory, where you vote for the next fighter to be posted in these pages. Next on the agenda is the newest section, the Shipyards where you can find the Capital Ships (the big guns) and the Cargo Ships (the little big guns :-) Next up, there is The Hanger, where you can check out all of the StarFighters (the little guns). Finally, we have The World of Dayaa, a mystical world that died out eight millenia ago, but whose legends still live on.

SPACEDOCK UPDATE LOG

  • October 6, 1998: Added the Y-Wing to the Hanger. Updated the Shore Leave Page with the Slaver's Collars file. Also, I moved some things around onto new servers. Please report any dead links.
  • October 2, 1998: Nothing very big here, cosmetic changes really. For fast loading, I took down the pictures of all the ships but made links to them and made thumbnails of the ships in the R&D Labs. Also, I added my Virtual Pets section to my About Marius026 page. I've also started working on the Y-Wing and updated the X- and E-Wings backgrounds.
  • October 1, 1998: Hey there, whole new batch of updates. The new R&D Labs Ship Contest got started. The FireBat moved into its new home in the Hanger and I added a picture of Marius LightBlade to the World of Dayaa. Go check it out. It is a little bit of old fashioned paper and pencil artwork meets new world of technology mouse and pixel editing. It's cool. I've also added a non-javascript version of the page. Check THAT out. Also, I took the 500K animated gif of the GunStar file because it was too damned large. I created a fancy little Dimension Book cover for the page and the Front Pages for Garuda and The SpaceDock, which also got kickass little JavaScript Loading Scripts added. I added the Kalian and Galakross R.C.C. to the Dayaa page. It comes packaged with the Kalian R.C.C. Finally, I added a future watch for JinRyu-SenGetsu at Shore Leave. That's it.
  • September 22, 1998: Added the Dayak R.C.C., replaced picture 3, and took down picture 4 all in The World of Dayaa. I took down the two pics because at first Dayaks were going to have either feathered wings or bat wings (cultural differences like skin color) but I decided that would be too much differnece between cultures. Shore Leave got a whole world of updates. I finally learned the proper code for complex tables so I was able to (finally) get the page to look the way I've wanted it too since I opened it up. Cleaned up the two campaigns up there and added a third one, the Hong Kong Campaign, which I'm currently playing in Rifts with Sephiroth080. I modified Terenia Manatzic (N.P.C.) and the Desert Eagle to accomadate the new Campaign. I also added a future watch for another character. I added a new power armor and I sadly have to say that I took down the Aliens Vs. Predators Vs. Colonial Marines Campaign because I found a better one on the 'net. The link can be found on my Links Page. I kept the Colonial Marines stuff around, because the Campaign I found on the 'net was only an Aliens Vs. Predators (people are always forgetting the Colonial Marines, hopefully the upcoming Alien 5 will change that). Finally, I added a future watch for a new Hand to Hand Style. Okay, now allow me to breathe one hell of a big Sigh Of Relief.
  • September 16, 1998: Fixed up the almost forgotten About Marius026 page, and added my favorite Stories and Quotes to the page. The Ship Contest winner was the FireBat. Check back on Sept. 25 for the stats and next contest. I added the Dramius and Dragon Rider O.C.C. to the Dayaa page and added a future watch for the Stradian Star Fighter to Dayaa as well. Also, under Shore Leave I added the R.C.C. of Eve and Aya from Parasite Eve and also Cody and Guy's fighting style from Street Fighter Zero/Alpha 1-3. Well, I think that's it for this batch of updates.
  • September 2, 1998: I added two of the four tales to the World of Dayaa page. Go check them out, they are some of my better writings.
  • September 1, 1998: Well, I added the World Of Dayaa section. Totally rearranged Shore Leave and added a whole bunch of goodies to look for in the near future. Futzed with the Site Navigator a bit and that is about it. Oh, I thought I'd mention that I haven't received any R&D votes in about 2 weeks. Come on people, that section is on its last legs and only you can help out. I think that's all there is to note.
  • August 27, 1998: Wow! Where to begin. All kinds of things are happening. Um. Well, I added yet another differnt JavaScript site-navigator to the pages. This one (hopefully) will work and load quicker. I broke the Hanger into two pages, the Hanger, which will contain the Star Fighters (I also posted the T-Wing on the upcoming list here) and the ShipYards. This new room contains the Capital and Cargo ships. I also added the Millenium Falcon, Dash Rendar's Outrider, Kyle Katarn's Crow, and IG-88's IG-2000 to the ships to look forward to, as well as the DropShip from "Aliens". Shore Leave also got stats automatically added for the Colonial Marine's Guns from "Aliens". No waiting there :-) Also, I'm also going to eventually add a Colonial Marine O.C.C. and Terenia Manatzic gets her own little picture. I did a slight bit of editing to a picture of Lara Croft from Top Cow's WitchBlade/TombRaider crossover. I did this because Lara Croft was what gave me the original idea for Terenia. Well, I think that's all of it. Enjoy!
  • August 21, 1998: Terenia Manatzic/Slinger N.P.C. gets a big modification and the GunStar gets added. Also, everything got rearranged thanks to Geocities new sub-directory feature. Please report any dead links. The info is all still there, it just might have gotten lost in the shuffle of things. New coming soon ship in the Hanger, the GunBuster from the Anime by the same name.
  • August 17, 1998: After a very short wait, the Vampire Of Amel R.C.C. got added into the Shore Leave, as did the Desert Eagle 50 Mhz Pistol and The Iczelion O.C.C. (which also got a picture added). A slight gramatical change was made to all of the Starfighters, and my "Virtual Pet Chocobo" named Bax-Ohki got posted on the Valkyrie Innovations Page and on the About Marius026 Page. Lastly, the current leader in the Ship Contest is the FireBat. He is taking home ALL the votes. I'd also like to note that the Sol-Bianca will be added as soon as I get a copy of the sub-titled Anime by the same name, and I'll start getting stats for the Star Wars ships up once I get a copy of Star Wars Guide To Essential Vehicles and Vessels. I appreciate your patience. Also, I'm thinking of doing the next Ship Contest with Capital Ships instead of StarFighters. Drop me a line and let me know what your opinions are.
  • August 10, 1998: The Coming Soon area gets taken down, just simply because it seemed like a pointless page. I also changed the Site Navigator into a JavaScript-based site-navigator.
  • August 1, 1998: ShoreLeave, the grungiest of my pages, gets cleaned up quite a bit. The Hand To Hand Page gets broken down into individual pages for each style. An animated GIF added to the Shoto-Kan file, a Shockwave Clip and new ability added to the GunJutsu file, and 6 new abilities added to the Shinjo-Ryu file. Vampire of Amel R.C.C. and a new hand gun added to the list of things to be coming eventually. Also, the FireBat is currently in the lead in the Ship Contest.
  • July 16, 1998: The SpaceDock gets an Image Map Navigator that connects with Sephiroth080's "Garuda" Webpage (thank the gods it's finally posted). The new StarShip Design Contest gets underway. Please be sure and stop in and visit or else we will have to close it down. The LavaStar StarFighter (the first Starship contest winner) gets posted in the Hanger.
  • July 6, 1998: Well, the LavaStar StarFighter takes home victories at the Ship Design Contest. The stats will be up there by July 20th, also, the next contestants will be posted and the new contest will start, running from July 20, 1998 to September 20, 1998. Also, the StarFury was taken down for the same reason the White Star was (A better Babylon 5 Rifts Conversion was found). See the Update Log entry for June 16th.
  • June 22, 1998: A new ship gets added to the upcoming line-up, in order to replace the "White Star". This new ship is called "The Sol-Bianca" from the Anime of the same name. Look for it soon in the ShipYards. Also a note, The LavaStar Fighter creeps up to the W-Wing and ties it for first place. Make your choices fast, their are only eight more voting days left. Also, the K-Wing StarFighter gets added and the already existing StarFighters get an update, the range on the proton torpedoes was adjusted.
  • June 16, 1998: The White Star is taken down. This may sadden many of you, but we here at Valkyrie Innovations will concede victory, we were informed by Mischa Campen that there was a site out there that contained highly detailed Babylon 5 / Star Trek / BattleStar Galactaca Rifts Stats conversions. We visited the site, and found that their White Star was far supperiour to ours, therefore, we have placed a link to them on our Links page. We highly recommend the site and hold them no malice for outdoing us. Also, The K-Wing should be up by the end of the week and the ship in the lead of our Starship Design Contest is the W-Wing.
  • April 29, 1998: The SpaceDock receives a massive upgrade and change of style. Hanger and R&D Lab sections get added. Information gets organized. A picture of each ship gets added.
  • March 9, 1998: The Hand to Hand section was finally added after a lot of problems with computer and various information about the hand to hand styles.
  • March 4, 1998: Shore Leave gets added. The X-Wing has an image added to the file by the same name. E-Wing statistics got posted, but they aren't very detailed.

We here at The SpaceDock, usually don't beleive in "Under Construction" banners, but this image fit it so well with the flavor of the page, so we decided to keep it around.
