LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER:
Feb 1993
Designed and coded C software, for the Echek diagnostic tool, that monitors and modifies engine control modules. The software was debugged on a PC, then built and tested on the Echek tool.

Software Lead for the team that developed Compulink engine diagnostic tool. This task included supervising a team of five software engineers. This task involved developing software review process, updating the Coding standard used on the team, and implementing design standards.

Designed and coded C software, for the Compulink diagnostic tool, that monitors and modifies engine control modules. The software downloads patches to the module, modifies parameters, and monitors various engine functions. The development environment was on apollo workstations and servers. The software was downloaded to 8086 based equipment. The tasks require use of a debugger and Applied Micro Systems and Microtek emulators to test and modify the software.

PROJECT ENGINEER:
AUG. 1988

Technical Lead for the human machine interface and systems team that developed software for the US Navy antisubmarine warfare tactical team trainer. The team consisted of five software engineers. The lead position included reviewing all the designs and software generated for the trainer.

Team Lead, of six, for the functional mock-up of the antisubmarine warfare tactical team trainer. This effort involved designing and coding C software for the graphics portion of the antisubmarine warfare tactical team trainer.

Responsible Engineer for the team that converted the F/A18 aircraft trainer graphics system. The conversion was from Fortran on a Gould Sel 32/77 using a Sanders G7 graphics processor, to Fortran on a VME130 using a Parallax graphics system.

Wrote configuration control tools for the Allaint and VME130 computer systems that required use of UNIX and VERSAdos operating systems.

MTS PROGRAMMER:
JAN 1983
Five years experience on real-time software simulation of the F14 aircraft radar and weapons systems, and the human machine interface on the instructor console. Tasks included design, coding, integration, and testing. Head of the team that implemented the simulation of the identify friend or foe system. Integrated the exercise formulation mode, that allowed creating pre-defined exercises.

Converted software that was running a sonar display simulation. This software was running on a PDP 11/23 using a Sanders graphics processor to Fortran software running on a VAX 11/780 using an Evans and Sutherland graphics processor.
