Cable #15 (9/94) - In Thornn's flashback, we see that a young Morlock girl named Sarah is pulled from Thornn's grasp and washed away by a flood in the Morlock tunnels. Mikhail Rasputin, having caused the flood in an attempted genocide of the remaining Morlocks, is shown to have teleported himself and a select few of the creatures to an unknown destination. Sarah is apparently among this select few. Months later, Thornn enlists the help of Cable and Domino to search for survivors in the Morlock tunnels. They perform the Ceremony of Light, a Morlock tradition that Thornn feels may guide the others out of hiding. Sarah appears, explaining that her people are afraid to come out in spite of the Ceremony. She returns to the Morlocks, promising to return one day.
