| Pulsar 1257+12 is thought to have an inner large terrestrial-sized planet. Due to the strong tidal forces the planet would probably be highly volcanic. The area is also bathed in gamma and x radiation from the compact pulsar, so viewing this scene as anything other than a painting would be lethal. |
