After the Green Goblin killed Gwen Stacy, Spider-Man had only one thing on his mind – REVENGE!!!  After searching the city, Spider-Man finally found the Green Goblin at a warehouse.

Spider-Man trashed the Goblin’s glider, then pounded the Goblin profusely.  Before Spidey actually killed the goblin, he realized what he was doing.  He would NOT become a murderer!  The Goblin took advantage of Spidey’s hesitation.  The Goblin took remote control of his glider and tried to impale Spidey with it.  Spidey sensed danger and dodged the glider.  The Goblin’s trick back fired.  The glider impaled him, slammimg him against a wall.  When the glider finally ran out of juice, the Green Goblin lay dead on the ground.  Spider-Man doesn’t feel any better with the Green Goblin dead.  Gwen is still gone.

“He’s Dead.  Somehow I thought it would mean more.  When A man dies&ldots;Even a man like the Goblin—it should mean something.  It shouldn’t just be an accident&ldots;A stupid, senseless accident.  It’s got to have a point&ldots;so it doesn’t just mean we live in vain.  Funny, I though seeing the Goblin die would make me feel better about Gwen.  Instead it just makes me feel empty&ldots;washed out&ldots;and maybe just a little bit more alone.” – Spider-Man, after the battle.
