II. We all know what a lover Duncan is (drool buckets ready) -- Name the times (women and episodes) where Duncan is dumped by a woman. Bonus: Name the woman who pursued Duncan but never slept with him.
III. Who said this to whom and in which episode:
1. "We don't have a choice."
2. "I'd be dead."
3. "Well, there's always that."
4. "Expect no mercy from me."
5. "Skeptical is fine. Stupid isn't."
IV. This is one I call last lines. I'll give
you the last line spoken in an ep, and you give me which ep and who spoke
it if you like.
1. You hungry?
2. What are friends for?
3. But I can wait.
4. You know it.
5. Maybe next time we should try using a horse?
6. Keep it that way.
7. I'll be here.
8. There is no justice.Only mercy.
9. To someday.
10. The man who did this, __________, is dead.
11. Eternal peace, _________. Eternal peace.
12. No. Not tonight.
13. Pleasure was mine.
14. Faith, _____. Faith.
15. I mean....in the biblical sense. / No. About right.
16. He didn't save her. He saved *you*.
17. Watch your head.
V. This week's question is Last Lines, part 2 ('cause I'm too sick to do the research for any other question). Same as last week, I'll give you the last line spoken in an episode and you give me the episode and the characters involved.
1. No. When he's ready, he'll tell me.
2. He-hello? Duncan?! Duncan?!
3. Worth a shot.
4. Yeah, but I saw him first.
5. Get someone in.
6. You better get going.
7. You already did.
8. Hey, Dawson! Bar opens at five.
9. Soon, MacLeod. Soon.
10. Let me buy you breakfast. Come on.
11. You coming?
12. I am immortal.
13. Yeah, then we'll talk.
14. I don't know, but I'd really like to try.
15. Yes, she was.
VI. I got to thinking about 'Homeland' that other day, and just what a fine episode it is. Visually pleasing, well written and directed; helping to flesh out Duncan's past so brilliantly, and let us not forget, providing us with our first taste of 'Bonny Portmore'. :-) For all these reasons and more, my TAG Q this week is a tribute to this wonderful episode.
1. How much money did James Bailey end up paying for his painting in
the art gallery after Duncan bid the price up?
2. How much does Duncan end up paying for the Celtic bracelet after
James returns the favor?
3. How long has it been since Duncan has been home to Scotland?
4. What is the name of Kanwulf’s “god”?
5. What is written on the grave Duncan is searching for?
6. What does Joe tell Duncan when the police won’t let him leave Mac’s
room?
7. In the flashback, when Duncan defeats Kanwulf, what are Kanwulf’s
final words to Mac?
8. Why did the axe mean so much to Kanwulf?
9. Where was the axe all these years?
10. Why did Duncan use his father’s sword to kill Kanwulf?
BONUS: The actor who portrayed James Bailey also portrayed another
character in another episode. Name the actor, the character and the episode.
VII. Fitz had a pipe....Name the episode where it
was most prominent, what type of pipe it was, and why it doesn't do well
in water.
VIII. Here's a mini-profile of Xavier St. Cloud.
1. Name the episodes where Xavier St. Cloud appeared in new footage
(even if just in a FB).
2. What were 2 of his aliases?
3. He lost exactly what limb?
4. He was fond of illicit golden caviar from what country?
5. Name his 2 nastiest partners.
6. He 1st met DM in Algiers, BH'g which of DM's friends?
7. He was born circa ____ in _______?
8. One of his classic lines--"When you eat, ___ ____. When you
love, ____ __ ____ _ ____ ____. When you kill, ____ ___ ________."
IX. List all the people to whom Duncan has given
(or offered) swords. We don't have to have seen it if it is pretty
obvious that an exchange took place. I count five such instances
(although every time I say such things, people always find ones I missed!).
If any sword experts want to give some detail on the type of sword, more
power to you!
X. Name the one time Richie called DM "Duncan" instead
of "Mac".
XI. Name the immortals who have found out about watchers
and how they found out.
XII. On occasion there have been immortals or mortals
who have been abducted from the barge(or from in front of it). Name the
episodes, the abductors, and the abductees.
XIII. Name the recycled actors who have played
two major roles.
XIV. Through the course of the series, there have
been many times when our favorite immortals have *nearly* lost their heads.
List as many as you can, for Duncan, Richie, Methos, Amanda, and Fitzcairn.
Obviously, actually losing their heads *doesn't* count. I realize
this is a judgment call, so just use your best judgment - when in doubt,
consider the situation from the point of view of the immie - in other words,
any time Duncan got that round-eyed look that said "This could be it!"
counts.
XV. Let's move from the very beginning of the episodes
to the very end. Name the eps that concluded w/ the caption--"To
Be Continued."
XVI. Name the episodes where *duels* took place. People involved, etc, etc, etc.
XVII. Hi there... Okay, this weeks question
is a quotes one. All of these were taken from a scene when an immie wakes
up from their first death. It's the first
thing they hear as an immortal. I haven't included ones where some
time has passed between their death and the dialogue (for example, Kenny
and Amanda).
Name the people speaking and the episode.
1. "Surprise. You're not dead"
2. "Well, look what we have here. A newborn."
3. "Rise up, Derek"
4. "Wait another minute. You'll be fine"
5. (He tried to kill me!) "He did more than try."
6. "Don't move. You're hurt."
7. "Put these on"
8. (It's a miracle) "That's what we all say....
the first time"
9. (It is a miracle) "No! it is the work of the demon
master of the world below!"
10. (Are you an angel?) "Not Quite"
11. (I should be dead) "You'll
be all right. Here, try a swig of this."
Good luck, and bonus points if you can think of any I've missed (season
six anyone?)
XVIII. Duncan seems to have met a lot of
fellow persons of Scottish heritage throughout the series. Identify
the following characters whose names begin with Mc- or Mac- by the episode
in which they appeared, and who they were; also identify any immortals.
Several are Duncan's relatives, but I included them for fun and completeness.
All of the following were listed in the credits (except one that MacWestie
gave me, and another that is listed by another name). Bonus
points to anyone who picks up any I haven't :)
XIX. Immortal Wheels--match the Immortal to his
method of transportation. Add the eps if you like.
Hummer, Lamborghini, limo w/ vanity plates, RV, Packard, rented red
Ferrari, dark gray/black Range Rover, Harley Davidson motorcycle, stolen
red Mercedes, Indian motorcycle
1. Duncan MacLeod
2. Byron
3. Kern
4. Marcus Korolus
5. Richie Ryan
6. Carl Robinson
7. Jim Coltec
8. Jacob Galati
9. Methos
10. Cory Raines
XX. As we all know, Rebecca was Amanda's beloved
mentor, and she's been in two episodes. But, how many times has she
been mentioned by someone, apart from those episodes she was actually in?
And who mentioned her?
I. Okay, how many times have we seen Immortals sparring with other Immortals, purely for practice? Episode, and who was fighting.
I had meant only sword sparring, so I'll only include those answers...
1. DM and Carl, "Run for your Life"
2. DM and RR, "The Return of Amanda", "An Eye for an Eye"
3. DM and Connor, "The Gathering"
4. DM and Jean-Phillipe, DM and Danny, "The Immortal Cimmoli"
5. DM and Graham Ashe, "The End of Innocence" fb
6. DM and Felicia, "Free Fall"
7. DM and Methos, "Chivalry"
8. DM and Kiem Sun, "Road Not Taken"
9. DM and Consone, "Duende" fb.
II. We all know what a lover Duncan is (drool buckets ready) -- Name the times (women and episodes) where Duncan is dumped by a woman. Bonus: Name the woman who pursued Duncan but never slept with him.
I got a variety of answers - from one night stands to those who never
slept with him. I was looking for those ladies he had a relationship
with and for whatever reason, the lady decided not to continue the relationship.
1. Linda Plager - Studies in Light (FB).
2. Carmen - The Darkness (FB)
3. Sarah Carter - Obsession (FB)
4. Anne Lindsay - Shadows and again in Mortal Sins.
5. Vashti - Wrath of Kali (FB)
6. Katya - Justice
7. Dream Tessa- Not To Be.
For the record, I did not include: Nefertiri (Duncan wanted to
get rid of her as more so than she dumping him),
Cassandra (after R6:8 I don't think Duncan was too interested),
Alex Raven (friends only - not really *dumped*),
Gina was friends with both DM and Fitz.
Bonus: Lots of ladies pursued him for at least one episode but
Renee Delaney pursued him for three episodes (Unholy Alliance 1 &
2 and Double Jeopardy) and they never ended up in bed.
III. Who said this to whom and in which episode:
I'm kinda proud of myself because I just picked some quotes from
memory and I thought they were pretty simple ones, but I stumped everyone
on #4. Anyway, I guess the quote made everyone think of a sword fight
situation...but that wasn't the case at all.
1. "We don't have a choice." – Connor to Tessa in ‘The
Gathering’.
2. "I'd be dead." - Richie to Duncan in ‘Courage’.
3. "Well, there's always that." – Joe to Richie in ‘Haunted’.
4. "Expect no mercy from me." – Fitz to Duncan (about golf) in ‘SoS’.
5. "Skeptical is fine. Stupid isn't." – Duncan to Baptista in ‘Justice’.

14. Faith, _____. Faith. - Little Tin God, Duncan to Joe
15. I mean....in the biblical sense. / No. About right.- Warmonger,
Beth Vaugh to Duncan, then DM to Beth
16. He didn't save her. He saved *you*. - Finale, Methos to Joe
17. Watch your head. - The Darkness, Duncan to Richie
1. No. When he's ready, he'll tell me. - Cross of St. Antoine,
Duncan to Amanda
2. He-hello? Duncan?! Duncan?! - Take Back the Night,
Anne to Duncan on the phone
3. Worth a shot. - Blackmail, Joe to Duncan
4. Yeah, but I saw him first. - Prodigal Son, Duncan to Richie
5. Get someone in. - Chivalry, Methos to Duncan
6. You better get going. - Blind Faith, Duncan to John Kirin

James returns the favor? - 100,000 francs
3. How long has it been since Duncan has been home to Scotland? - 250
years
4. What is the name of Kanwulf’s “God”? - Odin
5. What is written on the grave Duncan is searching for? - Debra Campbell
(crudely scratched)
6. What does Joe tell Duncan when the police won’t let him leave Mac’s
room? - "Remind me. Next time, separate vacations."
7. In the flashback, when Duncan defeats Kanwulf, what are Kanwulf’s
final words to Mac? - “Send me to Valhalla.”
8. Why did the axe mean so much to Kanwulf?- He believed it was made
by the gods, used by Thor and Loki themselves.
9. Where was the axe all these years? -Buried in Ian's grave.
10. Why did Duncan use his father’s sword to kill Kanwulf? - So he
could avenge his father’s death with Ian's own sword (the Clan MacLeod
sword)
and also because the police still had his katana in Edinburgh for testing.
(I like to think that Duncan would have used his father's sword in any
case, just on principle).
BONUS: The actor who portrayed James Bailey also portrayed another
character in another episode. Names the actor, the other character and
the episode. - Gerard Plunkett who portrayed Roland Kantos in 'Prophecy'.
VII. Fitz had a pipe....Name the episode where it was most prominent, what type of pipe it was, and why it doesn't do well in water.
The episode the pipe was most prominent in was 'Star-crossed', it was
a Meerschaum pipe, and it doesn't do well in water because it spoils the
color. Fitz gave it to Duncan to look after when the police showed
up at the barge..and Fitz slipped out the back and into the water.
And Fitz did have a pipe in another episode...'The Hunters'...
VIII. Here's a mini-profile of Xavier St. Cloud.
1. Name the episodes where Xavier St. Cloud appeared in new footage
(even if just in a FB). (I meant ALL of his eps--just worded
it badly.) For Tomorrow We Die, Unholy Alliance 1 & 2, Finale
1 (new footage in the Algiers FB), & Double Jeopardy (new
footage in the Napoleonic War FBs)
2. What were 2 of his aliases? Gerard Fleurie (alias he
gave Tessa in For Tom. We Die) & Nelson Mfume (both names per
screen caption in DJ, although
Watcher computer records in Finale 2 seem to read Gerard *Heure*)
3. He lost exactly what limb? left forearm & hand
(For Tom. We Die)
4. He was fond of illicit golden caviar from what country? Iran
(UA2)
5. Name his 2 nastiest partners. James Horton (UA 1 & 2)
& Morgan d'Estaine (DJ)
6. He 1st met DM in Algiers, BH'g which of DM's friends? Hamza
el Kahir (Finale 1)
7. He was born circa 1160 in Morocco? (per screen
caption in DJ)
8. One of his classic lines--"When you eat, eat well.
When you love, make it last a long time. When you kill, kill
for pleasure." (UA 2--to Horton)
IX. List all the people to whom Duncan has given (or offered) swords. We don't have to have seen it if it is pretty obvious that an exchange took place. I count five such instances (although every time I say such things, people always find ones I missed!). If any sword experts want to give some detail on the type of sword, more power to you!
1. "Free Fall", DM gives Masamuni Black Tachi katana to Felicia (God
knows why-AM).
2. "An Eye for an Eye", gives RR the Columbus Clamshell/Don Quixote
rapier.
3. "Timeless", offers Claudia a sword, she refuses.
4. "The Immortal Cimmoli", presumably gives Danny the sword he tries
to kill him with.
5. "The End of Innocence", gives RR Graham Ashe's sword.
X. Name the one time Richie called DM "Duncan" instead of "Mac".
Ok, by my count, Richie only addressed DM *Duncan* once .
In the Eye of the Beholder, Richie's in jail for trying to kill shoot Piton
and rescue Maya. Duncan and Tessa come to see him, and can't get
him out. Richie looks from Tessa to Duncan, saying "Tessa.....DUNCAN"
I hope this wasn't a cheap shot, but he did call him Ducan only once.
XI. Name the immortals who have found out about watchers and how they found out.
1. Darius: We don't know, but he had the chronicle so he must have known
2. Duncan: Found out when Darius was killed

found out
5. Amanda: Duncan told her in 'Return of Amanda'
6. Xavier: Teamed up with Horton
7. Carl Robenson: Duncan told him in 'Run for your life'
8. Michael Christian: Had an affair with his watcher
9. Kalas: Tortured his watcher until he told
10. Methos: Found out somewhere along the way.
11. Jakob and Irena Galati: found out when Horton tried to kill them
12. Cassandra: Duncan takes her to Joe for help in finding Kronos
13. Andrew Cord: iffy - I don't remember Joe saying anything other
than that he knew about immortals
14. Morgan Walker: Got ahold of his watcher Amy, her tape recorder,
and her notebook (doesn't live long thereafter, however)
15. Liem O'rourke: H overheard Joe's conversation with a watcher.
XII. On occasion there have been immortals or mortals who have been abducted from the barge(or from in front of it). Name the episodes, the abductors, and the abductees.
Two abductions were faked:
1. Counterfeit Pt. 2--Lisa Milon by Horton
2. Black Tower--Margo by Marek's thugs.
And three that weren't:
3. Judgment Day--Joe by Watcher's
4. To Be--Amanda by O'Rourke
5. Promises--Rachel by Kassim (not shown, but it had to happen since
DM expected her to be there & Kassim bombed the barge & kidnapped
her)
XIII. Name the recycled actors who have played two major roles.
1. Robert Ito: Jonny Leong - revenge of the sword, Kideo Koto - the
Samurai
2. Cameron Bancroft: Robert - the Watchers, David Keogh - Obsession
3. Dustin Nguyen: Chu Lin - the road not taken, Jimmy Sang - Revenge
of the sword
4. Jeremy Brudenell: Nicholas Ward - the Vampire, Robert De Valicourt
- Till Death
5. Eric Keenleyside: Dallman Ross - the Lamb, Trey Franks - Manhunt
6. Nicholas Lea: Rodney - the boxer, Cory Rains - money no object

day in building A
8. Anthony DeLongis: Lymon Surlo - Blackmail, Octavio Consone - Duende
9. Robert Wisden: Werner - Return of Amanda, William Culbraith - The
Messinger
10. Michelle Thrush: Sara Lightfoot - Bless the child, Little Deer
- line of fire.
11. John Novack: Sheriff Crowley - Innocent man, Alec Hill - Haunted
12. Kevin McNulty: Markham - Reluctant Heroes, Dawes - Revenge is Sweet
13. Gerard Plunkett: Roland Kantos - Prophecy, Jim Bailey - Homeland
14. Louise Vincent: Alice Millet - Legacy, Lina Cimoli - The Immortal
Cimoli
XIV. Through the course of the series, there have been many times when our favorite immortals have *nearly* lost their heads. List as many as you can, for Duncan, Richie, Methos, Amanda, and Fitzcairn. Obviously, actually losing their heads *doesn't* count. I realize this is a judgment call, so just use your best judgment - when in doubt, consider the situation from the point of view of the immie - in other words, any time Duncan got that round-eyed look that said "This could be it!" counts.
(Note - participants were later given the compiled list and asked to rank the danger to the immortal on a scale of 1-5, where *1* means "Eek gads, that was a really close one" and *5* means "Nah, this one really wasn't that dangerous, in spite of the circumstances". The average of all responses for each instance is given, and each instance is ranked according to the average perceived danger.)

XV. Let's move from the very beginning of the episodes
to the very end. Name the eps that concluded w/ the caption--"To
Be Continued."
1. Unholy Alliance 1
2. Counterfeit 1
3. Song of the Executioner
4. Finale 1
5. Something Wicked
6. Judgment Day
7. Comes a Horseman
8. Avatar
9. To Be
Some of these were obvious, but several of you forgot Song of the Executioner.
What I find very interesting is that Archangel did *not* have the reassuring
caption at the end, perhaps because season 6 was so iffy at the time.
XVI. Last week I asked to name the *duels* in HL episodes. These were more than just two immies going at it - wanted them to be more "honor" bound or at least a challenge made.
1. Bad Day In Building A - Duncan and Bryan Slade over soldier's
honor.
2. Epitaph for Tommy - Ned and Duncan over Bess' honor.
3. Under Color of Authority - (FB) Mako and Tim Ramsey
- like Gunsmoke!
4. Under Color of Authority - Duncan and Mako in Dojo - like
Gunsmoke only with swords.
5. Courage - Alan Kelley challenges Brian Cullen in FB in Switzerland.
6. Star-Crossed - Duncan and Fitz first met to duel over Ariana
- watch stops them.
7. Star-Crossed - Duncan and Fitz duel again over Ariana in *fake*
fight. Fitz *dies*.
8. Homeland - Robert MacLeod challenges Duncan over Debra Campbell.
9. Reluctant Heroes - Dennis Keating challenges Kinman in FB.
10. Til Death - Duncan and Robert Valicourt duel for Gina who was wronged.
11. Diplomatic Immunity - Willie Kingsley duels Smythe with pistols.
12. Timeless - in FB Duncan fights the put out actor for the honor
of the torn dress. I guess that would count, since he was actually
challenged to fight.
XVII. Hi everyone! first of all, last weeks answer to new born immie quotes

1. *Connor MacLeod - The Gathering; DM's elder kinsman and teacher

daddy

XIX. Last week's question was a matching game, Immortals to their cars. Here's the correct match-up:
1. Duncan MacLeod--stolen red Mercedes--Deliverance (EDM, actually stole
it from by the church)
2. Byron--limo w/ vanity plates--Modern Prometheus
3. Kern--Harley Davidson motorcycle--Line of Fire
4. Marcus Korolus--Indian motorcycle--See No Evil (not seen, but DM
*said* Korolus rode an Indian, & that's how he knew the Scalper did,
too)
5. Richie Ryan--rented red Ferrari--Ransom of Richard Redstone
6. Carl Robinson--Lamborghini--Manhunt
7. Jim Coltec--Hummer--Something Wicked
8. Jacob Galati--RV--One Minute to Midnight
9. Methos--dark gray/black Range Rover--Indiscretions
10. Cory Raines--Packard--Money No Object
XX. As we all know, Rebecca was Amanda's beloved mentor, and she's been in two episodes. But, how many times has she been mentioned by someone, apart from those episodes she was actually in? And who mentioned her?
As far as I know, there have only been two mentions of Rebecca apart
from "Legacy" and "Methuselah's Gift"....and those are:
1. "Finale, part II" - Amanda gives DM her crystal for luck, saying
Rebecca wouldn't mind.
2. "To Be" - DM asks Bizarro Amanda if she's forgotten Rebecca's teaching.
