4. What is there to say?
5. True.
6. But of course, cherie. But of course.
7. Take care.
8. But no one should have to lose a child.
9. It's a promise.
10. It's time to go.

how many Immortals have we seen who fight with their sword in the left
hand. This can include "Raven" if you wish.
V. Continuing with lefties, when have we seen DM fight
lefty?
VI. Name the episodes where you actually see fencing.....and
who was doing it.
VII. Here's a mini-profile of Methos (woefully incomplete, but after 5,000 years this guy's pretty complicated):
1. Of the 21 episodes Methos appeared in, name the 2-parters (where
he was in both parts).
2. What were 2 of his aliases?
3. Methos was born long before the age of ________?

15. It's impossible to pick a single quote that epitomizes Methos.

But To Be's "People *die*, MacLeod. *Immortals* die." is classic.
And Chivalry's "Candygram." always cracks me up. What are *your*

10. Who was Kalas talking to, & in what ep--"You're wasting your
not inconsiderable talents."
IX. Name every country that Duncan has ever visited.
Since this will be a *long* list, I don't want any times or episodes or
separate locations within a country - France and the US need only be mentioned
once, for example. Just a straight run of every country we have record
of him being in. Use your own judgment on things like countries that have
changed over his lifetime, i.e. wasn't Scotland a separate "nation" before
being conquered by the British?

1. Will you listen?!
2. Take it. Please?
3. And to new friends.
4. Got it!
5. So do I.
6. Godspeed, my friend. Godspeed.
7. The End.
8. Right.
9. And that, my friend, is when I'll worry about you.

15. Some other time.
XII. We've all wondered at some time where the swords
come from...name at least three instances in Season Five in which we actually
*saw* the

three instances in Season Five in which we see an Immortal put his/her
sword back into his/her coat.

immortals we've actually seen him fight..and whether or not he took
that immortals head.

a grand ____."
XIX. One of Duncan's real strengths is his willingness
to learn from many different kinds of people, and to keep learning throughout
his life. Who have Duncan's teachers been, and what have they taught him?
Try to stick to people with whom Duncan had a clearly defined teacher/student
relationship (as in, I'm sure he learned *something* even from Richie,
but I don't think he ever considered him a teacher per se). Mortals
and immortals are fair game. My list has 10 entries.
XX. We all have witnessed Duncan's various abodes shot up, burned up, busted up, struck by lightning and in many ways, trashed. List all the episodes, the particular housing and who or what did the damage.
I. What episodes and to whom was Methos speaking when he says "Voila"?
1. In 'The Messenger' he tells Duncan that some young sucker is always

him at the old power plant.

Live, grow stronger, & fight another day (Methos--& I was reminded
by a couple of you that Silas used roughly that phrase in Rev. 6:8)
6. Name 3 Immortals he BHd. Kristin Gilles (Chivalry), Silas

way out of a tight spot (Finale 1)
IX. Name every country that Duncan has ever visited.
(Note: One response included the following:
Bite your Sassenach tongue, JR! Scotland 'conquered' by the British???? Not bloody likely. The redcoats might have occupied it from time to time, but they never conquered it. Scotland and England were joined to create Great Britain by the Act of Union in 1707, a peaceful (though not widely popular among ordinary Scots) political instrument approved by the parliaments of both nations which guaranteed the continuation of Scotland's national identity.
Conquered. Hmpf. (Caledonian shuffles off, muttering to self.) Easier to conquer the wind and the sky than to conquer the Scots.)
Although I didn't ask for episodes, I have decided to include them for

*saw* the
sword come out of an Immortal's coat (ie, it was *really* in there)...and
three instances in Season Five in which we see an Immortal put his/her
sword back into his/her coat.
Okay, the trick to this one is "Forgive us our Trespasses". In
that one, we see Methos take his sword out and put it pack, and we see
MacLeod do the same. That only leaves one occurance to find.
For that one, I'd go with "The Messenger", where we see Methos do the draw
and replace when talking to Fake Methos. I'd go through the others, but
I only asked for three...the less thinking I have to do, the better.
XIII. After the events in Something Wicked..Richie

they were slaughtered (thereby making it a cemetery???)

1. Number of HL:TS eps he appeared in (new footage, not recycled clips)?
And which season did he miss completely? (Name his eps if you like.)

XIX. One of Duncan's real strengths is his willingness to learn from many different kinds of people, and to keep learning throughout his life. Who have Duncan's teachers been, and what have they taught him? Try to stick to people with whom Duncan had a clearly defined teacher/student relationship (as in, I'm sure he learned *something* even from Richie, but I don't think he ever considered him a teacher per se). Mortals and immortals are fair game. My list has 10 entries.
As usual, my list has grown since reading all of your replies. I have separated them into list 1-"people whom Duncan clearly considered teachers" and list 2-"others which were suggested from whom Duncan learned but without the same established relationship". I would like to have added details about what each taught, but I'm afraid I don't have time :(
List 1:
1. Ian and Mary MacLeod (Homeland)
2. Connor MacLeod (The Gathering)
3. Carl (Mountain Men)
4. Darius (Band of Brothers)
5. Segur (Prodigal Son)
6. Hideo Koto (The Samurai)
7. May-Ling Shen (They Also Serve)
8. Brother Timon (Song of the Executioner)
9. Hamza al Kahir (Finale)
10. Kristin Gilles (Chivalry)
11. Graham Ashe (The End of Innocence)
12. Octavio Consone (Duende)
13. Grandfather Lau (Revenge of the Sword)
List 2:
1. John Garrick - hmm, I'd say in this case a false teacher, since
Garrick appeared to be teaching but was really setting him up (Shadows)
2. Jim Coltec - their interaction was more about Coltec helping Duncan
by taking away the hatred that was consuming him, but Duncan appeared to
learn from the experience (Something Wicked)
3. Methos - that life is about accepting who you are, good or bad;
also about redemption and forgiveness (Not To Be)
4. Amanda - certainly about breaking and entering and safe-cracking,
but also about dancing on Eifel towers and such (Cross of St. Antoine,
Sins
of the Fathers)
5. Fitzcairn - I don't know that Duncan learned so much from Fitz during
life as much as simply enjoyed his companionship, but certainly during
To Be/Not To Be, God sent him as a teacher to to help Duncan learn some
important things about his life.
6. Tessa - I suspect that Duncan may have learned more from about Tessa
about humanity and about trusting and loving than from anyone else, although
that probably wasn't something she set out to accomplish or anything
7. Richie - although Duncan was nominally Richie's teacher, there were
a few times when Richie made him think twice and even changed his mind
about a few things.
So in the end, we finish where we started - I think one of Duncan's
greatest strengths is his willingness to learn from the many different
types of people he has encountered in his long life. Something I
hope we can learn from him.
XX. We all have witnessed Duncan's various abodes shot up, burned up, busted up, struck by lightning and in many ways, trashed. List all the episodes, the particular housing and who or what did the damage.
I was really looking for present day lodging but MacWestie detailed
all of Duncan's housing and so they are listed below. Some were picky but
Duncan was always a stickler for neatness so anything out of place seemed
to be fair game.
1. The Gathering - Slan broke through the window of the antique store.
DM's Indian camp trashed and burned by Army scounts (we learn later it
was Kern).
2. Free Fall- Items broken when Devereux comes to store and confronts
Richie. Tessa trashes her shop when Felicia confronts her.
3. Eyewitness - Bullets ring out. . (I assumed there was some damage).
4. The Lady and the Tiger - Inn ransacked by soldiers where Amanda
and Duncan live.
5. The Watchers - Same window broken as in The Gathering.
6. Turnabout - Quenten Barnes throws things to the ground from display
case.
7. Revenge of the Sword - In dojo, graffiti on mirror from Tong.
8. Unholy Alliance #1 - Dojo shot to pieces by Xavier's henchmen.
9. Unholy Alliance #2 - Barge messed up by Maurice.
10. Shadows - Duncan messes up loft (very unlike him). Sword
fight with Garrick- items thrown to ground, bookcase, items on shelves.
Garrick's Q
trashes everything, window, kitchen
11. Homeland - Kanwulf raids Glenfinnan.
12. Brothers In Arms - During fight with Andy Cord in the dojo, stairs
are rickety and the knob from the staircase comes off.
13. Double Eagle - Kit O'Brady knocks wooden stand off and hits office
window (We don't see that, just hear the shattering glass).
14. Deliverance - Barge is trashed by Duncan (things thrown to ground).
15. Promises - Kasim burns the barge.
16. Manhunt - Carl Robinson and Duncan brawl in the dojo and do a number
on everything.
17. Glory Days- Johnny K shoots loft window.
18. To Be - WIne bottles, candles go rocking and rolling.
