The Story

Skarrphace was born Michael Anthony Vincenetti on August 2nd, 1973.  He was born into a single parent household, his mother Elisabeth raised Michael from birth to be a good son.  He was raised not knowing who his father was.  When he reached middle school, he was quickly spotted as having unnatural athletic ability, and was quickly put into many training programs.  He played all sports, basketball, football, and wrestling...but he found the most fun in wrestling.  He went to UCLA on a football/wrestling double scholarship where he lettered in both for 4 years.  After turning down some wrestling offers out of college, he went to the NFL as a defensive end.  He blew his knee out in his 2nd year in the league, it required career-ending surgery.  After rehabbing the injury, he was working out in a gymnasium in Los Angeles in June of 1999 when he met Neil Grimsley of the GFWA, a wrestling promotion that was in town for a show.  When he and Neil met, they became fast friends.  Neil brought Michael to the GFWA show in L.A. that night and Michael fell in love with it.  He met with GFWA President Ron Monroe that night and soon afterwards signed his first professional contract.  He wrestled in the GFWA for 4 months, becoming GFWA Extreme Champion in the process.  Then, in an odd move, Ron Monroe gave the GFWA to Skarrphace to run as he saw fit, citing a lack of motivation to run the fed any longer.  Skarrphace turned the GFWA into one of the best feds out there, becoming it's Commissioner first, then the President.  He ran the GFWA from September of 1999 to April of 2000, when he closed the fed down temporarily.  In this time, he also joined a few other outfits and wrestled independently, including stints with the now defunct bWo, Legendary Wrestling, and the FWF.  After taking a short break from the GFWA, he reopened the fed in May of 2000 and ran the fed successfully for almost a month when he and Brian Berg of the bWo decided to merge their two feds to create the gWa or Global Wrestling Alliance.  That lasted for about 2 months and then it closed down.  Skarrphace reopened the GFWA, but then shortly thereafter sold it to Michael Dupin.  He began wrestling in the NWWF at that point, as well as the NNW (No Name Wrestling) ran by Steve Heady.  The NNW closed down, so Skarrphace concentrated solely on the NWWF, which soon turned into the gWa with the help of Skarrphace and Shane Henderson joining forces.  I recently retired Skarrphace in the gWa.  I've also been a part of several other smaller feds along the way.

Skarrphace is a man who revels in the spotlight.  Always considered real and down to earth, but also high priced, Skarrphace has a low tolerance for idiots and low-lifes.  But, Skarrphace is very conscious of history, and knows where he came from.  He is the 13th and youngest son of famous L.A. crime lord Dino Vincenetti, and with that family has come an education on the streets and money beyond his wildest dreams.  Even though Skarrphace has worked to make his own living, he is always reminded of his roots.  But if there's one thing you should know about Skarrphace...titles mean nothing to this man.  It's the respect of the game that he wishes to be his legacy.
