Lands

Redmarch, Vordar, Fennoden, Silvaneth, Irongard, Sithak and the Far Isles - the lands of Eastern Kierqualon.

Mapped with CC2

Redmarch

Redmarch is located on the eastern coast and covers much of the Plain of Winds. It is ruled by Lord Protector Gilthan in the capital city of Starport at the mouth of the Breel river. The inhabitants are mainly human though many elves and dwarves live and work in Redmarch as well. Redmarch is a thriving country and it trades many goods including timber, cloth, foodstuffs and livestock with the other nations and it has a sizable merchant fleet and navy.

Silvaneth

Silvaneth is situated west of Redmarch and covers the Elharlim Forest and some of the west side of the Plain of Winds. It is ruled by the elven Council of Elders in the arboreal capital city of Athilar. Non elven residents are rare although the other races are present, usually as traders or craftsmen. The elves provide for themselves almost exclusively but do trade the fine horses they breed for such things as gems, worked metal items and stone.

Irongard

Irongard covers the southern end of the extensive Atlan Heights mountains and also stretches out onto the north of the Plain of Winds. It is ruled by King Hagga Stormhammer in the capital city Stonehold. The inhabitants are mainly dwarves though a number of humans also live and work there. The dwarves have a huge complex of mines beneath the mountains and are the producers of the finest weapons and valuable gemstones. Numerous group of orcs, ogres, trolls and giants also live in the Atlan Heights and the dwarves are in constant battle with them.

Sithak

Sithak is a large island which lies off the east coast of Kierqualon in the Sunbirth Sea. It is ruled by a race of lizardmen led by their shamen, or Suhsrei, in the capital city of Akashar. The inhabitants are almost exclusively lizardmen, except for visiting traders and foreign dignitaries as the Sithakai are fiercely protective of their realm. The few travellers who have visited Sithak speak of the astonishing and strange culture of the Sithakai, and their wondrous capital city, which is unlike any human or demi-human creation.

Vordar

Vordar lies south of Redmarch and Silvaneth and the Stregar Peaks are fully within it's borders along with a strip of the southern edge of the Plain of Winds. It is ruled by Emperor Xagrak VI in the Imperial capital city of Lamukon at the mouth of the Fulann river. The Empire of Vordar once encompassed most of Redmarch, some of Irongard and also included the Far Isles as territories. After civil unrest and war, Redmarch became a country in it's own right and the dwarves reclaimed their lands, with the Far Isles becoming independent. Vordar has a large army which is predominantly used to repel the encroachment of the growing denizens of the Dead Lands into it's territory, although many of the bigger groups of orcs, trolls and giants have been largely exterminated in the Stregar Peaks. Vordar is the largest producer of ores and weapons and has many gold mines which help to keep it rich.

Fennoden

Fennoden lies north of Redmarch and east of Irongard. It is ruled by King Ortan in the capital city of Numa at the mouth of the Yalvon river. The inhabitants are mostly human though a number of elves and particularly dwarves live and work in Fennoden as well. Fennoden has changed from a country that jealously guarded it's border against the once powerful Empire of Vordar, to a land that trades freely and produces valued herds of sheep and pigs. Fennoden has a small fleet of merchant and naval ships.

Far Isles

The Far Isles are a group of independent islands, now no longer part of the Empire of Vordar, and are ruled by minor lords who each claim their own isle as sovreign territory. It is also believed that a number of pirates and raiders operate out of the islands, attacking ships that ply along the eastern coast of Kierqualon.

Dead Lands

The Dead Lands are a rocky and desolate wilderness, home to goblins, orcs, ogres and other monsters. The denizens of this land regularly test the defensive strengths of Silvaneth and Vordar.
