This craft is an advanced high-speed interceptor. Primary lift is from the double-delta platform airframe, with the V-twin integrated wing/tail assemblies augmenting the lift. Dual "cheek" canards provide outstanding maneuvering and roll rates. |

In its primary interceptor mission, the Destruere is armed with two class-2 lasers. Variants have also been utilized that carry freefall munitions mounted on hard points beneath the double-delta platform body. |

In pursuit of maximum performance, this craft was designed with an extremely high thrust to weight ratio. Providing the thrust is a single, afterburning, Jz/9-IPS engine. Large twin intakes feed atmospheric reactants to a central matter converter. This converted matter is used to fuel the injected plasma system (IPS) reactor. In afterburning mode, trace amounts of curium are injected into the exhaust plasma stream to provide additional thrust. |
