Yes, believe it or not, I do chat in IRC. I actually do it a lot. It has many great advantages that you just can't do with other devices on the internet. Like chatting for instance. Sure you can chat online in special Java programmed applets, but it takes SO long for them to load, and then once you get it loaded, there's nobody in the chatroom anyway! IRC is different. Its quick and easy to use.. and you can do lots of other things too, like sharing files. IRC may be a strange place, but if you really get to know it, its quite possibly one of the best reasons to get on the internet.
