What the #%&* is a Brand-X Website?

Well, that would be MY first question, if I came across a Homepage with a gaudy yellow and blue logo that looked like it could have been made for some sort of discount website builder. :-) I expect at least some netizen, upon first seeing my homepage, to mistake Brand-X for a Web business equivalent to K-Mart or Wallmart. Or at the very least, that this Website was constructed with some sort of discount webpage builder. :-)

Well, the first is not true. I'm definately not making a penny off of this "great experiment." As for the later... Well, you wouldn't be too far from the truth, if you thought that I used an inexpensive webpage maker, because these pages were created using the most basic of methods. I combined a common web browser, a common text editor and commonly found beginners HTML information (which can be commonly found throughout the internet). ;-)

    This Website Created Using

It's true, everything I used to "build" this page was free. Well, not the computer. :-) Although my Packard Bell was on sale at the time, it definately was not free. But the the text editor that came with it didn't cost me anything extra. And the was another freebie from the internet. And so are all of the pictures and backgrounds. All free, right off of the Web.

If HTML and basic webpage construction is something you think you might be intersted in learning about, much of that info can be found right here at Geocities. Hey, there's another thing that's free on the internet. Information! ;-) Try   first for some of the basics on how to write in HTML, the language of the WWW. Then, when you ready to put that knowledge to work for you, stop by Mad Cow, because   Mad Cow knows that with the right backgronds and graphics, anyone can take an other wise ordinary homepage and create a fresh professional looking one. Even if the contents of a page are images of your favorite toenail clippings. (Do I really need a smiley face here).

How to Build your own Brand-X Website

This  icon is a link to a web document with a few of my favorite HTML Internet resource. There are even a few links about Webpage style. Before long you, too, can have a website just like mine. Probably better! (Hopefully without having to hide your most embarassing first one like I do.) ;-)

This page was last officially worked on...

Gee, I hope to have this page up and running real soon, because I just love to be helpful.

And there's so much more to create.
