Sariah is a vampire that has existed since Civil War times. She originally
sought vengence on those who had killed her family during the war, now she has mellowed a great deal with
age, and wants to work towards the good of society.
Sariah wants to help others, and use her years of knowledge to the fullest advantage. She does not seek to become
mortal, nor is she ashamed of being a vampire. Sariah feels that vampires are superior in many ways to mortals,
but that they need to be more select in who is allowed to be brought across. She believes that there are too many that kill
indiscriminantly for the thrill. Sariah wants to work with Raven to help right the wrongs of others, and protect the
innocent from the warring clans. She is especially interested in settling in this area due to the fact that a
relative of hers, Sonja Shadoian, has become a member of the creatures of the night. Sariah wants to look out for her kin from
afar, without Sonja knowing that Sariah is a long removed aunt. She did not bring Sonja across, Sariah has not brought
anyone across in years, nor has she killed in years. She wants to help, to make the world safer for the creatures
of the night and the mortals.
Raven eyes her very suspiciously in that he knows that she wants to help, but he
is leary of her means. Raven questions whether her motives are true, but does trust Sariah, somewhat.
Serenity, his
assistant, had her entire family killed by vampires. Because of this she has open contempt for the do-good vampiress. She niether trusts Sariah, nor believes that she wants to help. Sariah is trying very hard to make up what has happened to her, and to convince
her that she is sincere.
Sariah does not want Sonja to know that she knows who and what she is or that they are of one
family. The older vampiress plans to watch over Sonja, but Sariah also seeks a revenge of her own. Sonja is one of Sariah's family and she does want
vengence on the one who brought her kin across, and left her to fend for herself without teaching her the ways
of the vampire.
