This page WILL take a while to load. Please be patient. Thanks! This is a temporary page. I will be designing a set of pages for these pictures but I just wanted to get them all up and viewable for now.
This is our newest piggie. His name is Silk. His name originates from two sources. One: He's very soft and silky. Two: Silk is the name of a character in David Eddings' series The Belgariad and The Malloreon. "Hi! I like this nice warm spot of sun."
This picture pretty accurately depicts Silk's wonderful coloration. He's very shiny and his golden fur just glows in the sun light. "Mmmmm... I think I like it here..."
"What's a 'mouse'????"
Since the loss of Groundhog Loaf's been very lonely. We got Silk for companionship of our little buddy, Loaf. Our fears of possible fights and them not getting along were lost instantly when we put Silk and Loaf together for the first time. They immediately took to each other! Loaf: "Hey! Yer a cute little guy. Wanna be my friend?" Silk: "Big brother!!!!!!! [snuggle]"
Although there's a huge size difference they absolutely love each other. They've been together constantly since we first put the two of them together. We've also noticed that Silk's youth has brought out the playfulness of Loaf too. They've been popcorning like a couple baby piggies. [snuggle snuggle] "I love you, big brother!" "I love you too, little guy"
This series of five pictures is very painful for us. These are the last pictures of Groundhog and Tryp's efforts at trying to keep him going. Tryp tried her best to keep him fed and hydrated so that he'd have as much strength as possible for his fight for life. Tryp got up every two hours to feed and get some liquids in Hoggie. Her efforts gained another day of life for this little piggie but there was nothing that either of us could do to extend his life any more than that. We love and miss you.
Goodbye Hoggie. |
Hell yes! I support free speech on the 'net! Maybe you should too.
