MORE INFO

Caving is the sport of exploring the underground world (and we don t mean tourist caves, the rail system or investigating the CIA)

The Macquarie University Caving Group is looking for new members who should be prepared to HAVE SOME FUN. There is an extremely high risk that you WILL enjoy yourself when partaking in one of our many and varied club activities.

EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED !

The club has one day and weekend trips to areas throughout the state (and the World!). We organise mini expeditions from time to time. As well as Caving, we also organise BUSHWALKING, CANYONING, ABSEILING, PARTIES and generally having a GOOD TIME !

Some people think they are not fit enough, brave enough or stupid enough to do these things... In fact, you have already demonstrated sufficient capacities in all of these areas by getting out of bed, daring Sydney s streets and enrolling at Uni. All you need now is ENTHUSIASM, COMMON SENSE, AND A SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE.

We have people that can lead you and train you in all the basic technical skills that you will need.

YOU WILL BE SURPRISED AT WHAT YOU CAN DO !

YOU DON T NEED ANY SPECIAL EQUIPMENT.

Bring some old clothes (Overalls are ideal), food and some basic camping gear (sleeping bag and billy). The club will supply any technical equipment needed (helmets, lights, ropes, abseil gear etc) for NO EXTRA COST ! Tent and transport can be arranged if necessary.

YOU DON T NEED MUCH MONEY.
