These have been my favorite downloads. Mainly tools and gadgets to get along when I am (often) alone at home. Just wanted to share these because there are some tools that are extremely useful and a must have.
Software Description Ad-Aware Ad-aware removes all the ad-aware, spyware, tracking cookies and other malware from your system. It comes in two blends (ie. free and paid version). I recommend it to all and keeping updated is a must.

Spybot blocks / immunize bad (known) products, adds bad internet servers (that attempt to install spyware or tracking cookies on your computer) to Windows hosts so they no longer open. Capable of locking hosts file to prevent possible browser hi-jacking. In addition comes with some other options. It is a donation ware and is simply fabulous. Updates are provided free.

Size: 3.51 MBBIOS Wizard This little proggie runs and tests your BIOS for various compatibility options and recommends an upgrade, if required. It can be used to gather information about your system's BIOS and Motherboard including some other peripherals.

Size: 0.50 MBCPU-Z CPU-Z accurately detects and tells you about the processor you are using, clock speed, family, cache, main (mother) board, BIOS and memory. It is in a permanent lineup in my tools arsenal.

Size: 0.21 MBPasco DAT Converter A fun and useful tool in exploring *.dat (DATabase) files found in Windows OSs, etc. It converts *.dat files in to text files. Just get a copy of index.dat from " temporary internet " folder and run Pasco on it and see what this *.dat contains about your browsing. The limiting factor for usage is just your imagination.
