Kraft Television Theatre
May 7, 1947 - October 1, 1958 (NBC); October 15, 1953 - January 6, 1955 (ABC)
A weekly anthology series. One of the first major television programs. Introduced briefly in New York in 1940, came to network television in 1947 on NBC. Kraft also sponsored another hour-long program under the same title on ABC for one and a half seasons. Many stars played their first major television roles on this program including Lee Remick, Anne Bancroft, Patty Duke and many others.
