THE SERIES: Playhouse 90 October 4, 1956 - May 18, 1960 (CBS) Weekly dramatic anthology series, presented in 90 minute format for the first three seasons. Ran as a series of specials for the '59-'60 season and reruns were aired in 1961. One of the most highly regarded anthology series, many of the biggest stars made appearances on this program including Paul Newman, Ethel Barrymore, Jeanette MacDonald, Errol Flynn, Claude Rains and many more.
