By now it was February. Valentines day was only a few days away and Nick had planned this romantic dinner for him and Stacey in the hotel room. He got a nice table to put in the room with flowers and candles. Nick had room service dinner for them too.
"So what are you and Stacey doing for Valentines day Nick?" asked Brian
"Well, I've got a special dinner that I'm gonna have served in the room. Kind of like a room service dinner. Then I'm gonna sprinkle rose petals all over the bed and on the floor. It'll be more romantic than it sounds." he answered
"No it sounds great. But what are you going to do so Stacey doesn't know what's going on?" asked Brian
"Well, I was kind of hoping that you would take her to the mall or something. Just keep her occupied."
"Sure. Yeah, I can do that." Finally Valentines day came and Stacey didn't have a clue about what Nick was doing. Her and Brian spent the day at the mall while Nick was preparing everything. The other guys helped. By the time Brian and Stacey came back, Nick was all ready for her. She opened the hotel room door and Nick was standing there in the light only of the candles with rose petal everywhere. She was shocked. Stacey fell into his arms and they passionately in the candle light.
"Oh, are you the sweetest?" she said looking at him lovingly
"I'm afraid I might just be." said Nick giggling
"Let's see, what do we have here? Rose petals, candles, dinner. You thought of everything didn't you?" asked Stacey
"Well, I know you've been through alot this year, so I just wanted to make today special."
"Ah honey, everyday is special with you." said Stacey as she gave him a kiss
"Let's eat!" yelled Nick. He led Stacey over to her seat and pulled the chair out for her like a gentleman.
"OOOOOOOOOOOOhhhhhhhhhh, silver plates with covers. Very classy." said Stacey. She lifted the cover up and saw a beautiful diamond ring and said,
"Jewelry!"
"Not just jewelry, Stacey, will you marry me?" said Nick getting down on his knee
"Oh, Nicky, we can wait. Why now? I mean we're only twenty, we have our whole lives together."
"I almost lost you before, I don't want it to happen again. I want to be with you forever." said Nick "So you don't want to get married?"
"Sweety, I love you with all my heart, and I want to be with you forever too, but, I'm just not ready yet. I mean, we're so young, and, I just don't want to rush into things. I'm sorry."
"Oh, it's okay. I'll be fine. Only 'cause I know that you and me are together forever." said Nick as he stood up and hugged her and gave her a kiss.
"Are you sure you're fine? It's not that I don't love you, because I do. With all my heart and more." said Stacey
"I feel exactly the same way about you. I shouldn't have asked you to marry me." Nick said
"Oh, I'm so glad you did. I realized how much I love you." said Stacey
"Really?"
"Yes! No matter what happens nothing can change the way I feel about you. I will always, always love you. Don't you forget that." said Stacey holding his face in her hands
"Do you wanna skip dinner and go for a walk?" asked Nick
"Sure." answered Stacey They went for a walk and when they came back Stacey remembered that she forgot her cell phone on the bus. Nick had a key so he could go in. They went on the bus and searched for her cell phone. It was dark in there so Nick and Stacey couldn't see well.
"Spooky, huh?" said Stacey
"Yeah, yet romantic. Come here." said Nick motioning to sit with him in the back row that stretched out all the way across the bus. She sat down next to him and Nick held her in his arms. She kissed the finger tips of his right hand. He asked,
"Are you nervous?" She shook her head and replied softly,
"No." Stacey slid back on the seat under Nick's welcome weight. They made love in the back seat of the bus all alone in the dark. The back window looked just like in the movie Titanic with the steam. She also had pressed her hand up against it without knowing it leaving a visible hand print. They were sweaty and sticky and the bus was hot considering the size of it. Then they heard voices out side which sounded like Howie, Kevin and A.J. They walked by the back of the bus and noticed the hand print on the window. A.J. said,
"Hey look, the bus is all steamed up. I wonder who's in it?" They snuck up quietly and opened the door. Kevin yelled,
"Caught ya!" But no one was in there. Nick and Stacey had escaped out the back door without them hearing. They ran in the lobby laughing.
"Did you see the look on their faces?!?" said Nick laughing holding Stacey
"Yeah. This is a Valentines day to remember. So far it has been the best for me."
"They're only gonna get better between us. 'Til' death do us part." Nick and Stacey kissed passionately until they saw a flash. It was the paparazzi.
"Damn it! Get outta here!" Nick yelled. They ran up to the hotel room.
"It's gonna front page on one of those trashy news papers. I can see it now 'Backstreet Boy and Fashion model fling'. What should we do?" said Stacey
"Don't worry about it. We'll be fine." Nick said reassuring her.
"Are you sure? Oh no! What if they got a picture of the bus? They'll say crap like 'oh, they didn't use protection' stuff like that."
"It's okay. As long as we know you're on the pill it will be okay." said Nick
"Oh, I don't know why I get so upset about these things. Must be A.J. coming out in me." said Stacey. They ate their cold Valentines day dinner and cuddled the rest of the night. It was a Valentines day to remember.
