‘I wish Amy would just say she loves me’ AJ thought to himself as he waited for Amy to get off of the phone. ‘If she told me she loved me then I could prove to her that the relationship could work. I miss the guys and my mom. I wish they could see me. If only Amy would just admit that she still loves me. I can’t tell her that’s all she has to say to bring me back to life because I want her to realize she loves me on her own.’ Amy got off the phone and AJ stopped thinking to listen to Amy.

“Brenda’s coming over with Nick and then we’re all going to the mall. You can come along if you like. Do you want to come?” Amy asked even though she already knew the answer.

“Of course I want to go. I love shopping. Plus I get to see Nick and Brenda again. This is going to be fun!” AJ got up from the love seat and smiled. ‘Man I haven’t gone shopping in a Long time.’ AJ thought. Amy put some music on and began dancing. She always did this when she wanted to pass time or let go of problems. AJ watched her…mesmerized by her moves. ‘I’m glad she never stopped dancing. This is how she began her career. By just dancing in her house. She’s so good.’ AJ’s thoughts swarmed in his head about how beautiful Amy was when she danced and let everything go. Amy noticed him watching and motioned for him to join her. AJ took the invitation and moved close to Amy. They laughed and moved to the jumpy, upbeat pop music. They danced around the living room acting goofy and just forgetting everything that had ever happened or things that would happen. All of a sudden Amy tripped over the coffee table’s leg and AJ caught her before she hit the ground. Amy looked up and caught his soft brown eyes looking back at her.

“Um…thanks.” Amy said averting her eyes to the ground.

“Your welcome.” AJ said helping her up. ‘Why do his eyes have to be so dang beautiful!’ Amy thought to herself as she watched AJ walk over to the stereo. ‘Why does he have to be so great? Most of all…why do I have to love him so much?’ AJ put Amy and his song on.

“Dance with me.” AJ said holding his hand out for Amy to take. Amy placed her hand in his and he pulled her body against his. Amy rested her head against his chest and swayed to the slow, heartfelt music.

“Why can’t it always be like this?” AJ said clutching Amy close to his heart. Amy backed away and looked up at him pondering the question. AJ reached for Amy’s hand. He kissed her hand and then placed it against his heart. AJ smiled softly before leaning in to kiss Amy. Amy closed her eyes and prepared herself for his moist lips. Amy had her eyes close as she heard the door being knocked on. AJ backed away and looked at the door. Amy kept her eyes close still wishing AJ would just kiss her.

“That must be Nick and Brenda. You better answer that.” AJ said disappointed. Amy opened her eyes and exhaled as she made her way to the door.

“Hi guys.” Amy said opening the door. Brenda and Nick made there way in and sat on the couch. Amy turned off the stereo and then sat down beside Brenda. AJ sat down in the love seat still a little bummed that he didn’t get to kiss Amy.

“Amy why were you listening to that song? You haven’t listened to that song since AJ…” Brenda said letting her voice trail off as she looked over at the loveseat. Amy’s eyes widened as she noticed she was looking straight at AJ. ‘Can she see me?!?’ AJ thought as Brenda’s eyes locked with his own. Amy stood up in excitement hoping Brenda could see him.

“Brenda what’s wrong?” Nick exclaimed. Brenda’s eyes never left the love seat.
