V-NERVZ 1981
AKRON , OHIO
UNOFFICIAL V-NERVZ PRESS RELEASEThe time: 1981. The Place: Akron. The Mood: Massive Boredom. The Problem: No Action. The Solution: V-Nervz. Preceded by a massive spray-painting campaign (nothing is sacred), V-Nervz hit the stage and street. Fast, loud and hard. Brandishing their unique style of nihilism, disrespect and power chords, they are immediately taken to heart by the local punk scene, what little of it there is in Northeast Ohio. Five of the many disenchanted, fighting back against a music/political scene gone stale. V-Nervz are: The Dread Brothers, refugees from Dayton, on Guitars. Hook-I on drums, providing the hard drug beat, Johnny Phlegm, constantly having Mad Dog reactions, up front on Vocals, and Jimi Imij, Editor of Slam Magazine, on Bass. This is one band which won't take "NO" for an answer. Beware!
(NOTE: Johnny Phlegm left early 1982 and Vince Rancid (aka VIX) took over on vocals and the band changed their name to Bad Order. Later on Barb Wire took over on vocals.)
