During the summer, James Hetfield entered a rehabilitation facility to undergo treatment for alcoholism and other addictions. Until further notice, James will continue receiving treatment. This has obviously led to the postponement of all current Metallica activities, including recording sessions for the new album. James continues to work extremely hard on his recovery, and everyone in Metallica remains grateful for your consideration and support of their brother and the band at this time. Metallica further hopes that everyone will continue to respect the sensitive nature of James’ recovery, and that you continue to afford he and his family their privacy.
