James Hetfield and Primus bassist Les Claypool make guest appearances
on Gov'T Mule's track "Drivin' Rain", which is set to be included on the
forthcoming NASCAR-sponsored compilation, entitled Crank It Up, which will
be released through MCA Records on May 21st. Hetfield, a longtime fan of
Gov'T Mule who had previously interviewed the group for a guitar magazine,
reportedly contributes vocals to the aforementioned cut.
James' appearance on the track was reportedly confirmed by MCA Records and eMule, the official Gov'T Mule e-mail list. As previously reported, former Metallica and current Echobrain bassist Jason Newsted will be performing with Gov'T Mule at five gigs in the midwest during the third week of April. |
