Musings
Standing on the road I can never forget;
I've been on it all my life.
The various forks and junctions I met
Presents joy, misery, uncertainty and strife.
No matter how broad's the path I see
I'm walking the loneliness, in solitude.
So catch my eyes, walk with me
And not just follow my attitude
For I may not bring you to your desired place.
Though your happiness might be walking where I tread.
Instead stroll beside me and take the pace
And let us decide on the path we head.
For who knows what lies around that bend
And life's like a candle flame
That goes off in an abrupt end.
And what remains in the name
But think not of the sad ending
For life's not supposed to be blue,
When the doorbell rings
I will carry you and bring you through.
The path we choose might not be the best
But we'll walk it together, no letdowns.
There will be no protests
No frowns,
Just hold my hand
If I should fall
And all in all,
We will stand tall !
