overview |
After the War,
there was a flurry of attempts at creating a viable league structure in the
area. The first was the Kirkcudbrightshire League which wasn't actually
formed until March 1921. The league
was renamed the Stewartry League for the 1921-22 season. As in the case of
other attempts at creating a viable league competition, cup competitions got
in the way and the championship was unfinished. Despite completing only half
of their fixtures, St Cuthbert Wanderers also competed in the revived
Southern Counties League. |
