overview |
The Southern
Counties League name was revived in 1910 when the Dumfries & Galloway,
the smallest of the local FAs, organized the Dumfries & Galloway FA Cup
as a league competition. Again
however, the clubs tended to focus on the cup competitions, and by the end of
the season, the league was disbanded after less than half the fixtures were
played. The trophy was withheld and put up again as a knock-out tournament
the following season. |
