Reserve football overview

There is a mention of a League Reserve Championship in 1896 involving, amongst others, Rangers and Heart of Midlothian. An early Rangers handbook belonging to historian Robert Bruce, also gives Rangers reserves as winning the Second XI League titles in 1894-95, 1898-99, 1905-06, 1909-10, 1910-11, 1911-12, 1912-13 and 1914-15. Apart from the first two, It is unclear as to which leagues the latter titles were for, as they don’t correspond to the leagues that were operating at the time.
