Formed at a meeting arranged by Mr Aitken
of Maryhill Myrtle on 17 June 1892, the new league comprised of ten clubs
from Dunbartonshire, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire and Stirlingshire.
The first season saw a number of unplayed fixtures, although Airdrie
Fruitfield were awarded the championship. After just one season the league
was formally wound up on 11 August 1893. |
