The second version of the Scottish Combination was
formed in 1935 primarily to give the reserve sides of Ayr United, Edinburgh
City and Third Lanark league competition. Third Lanark ‘A’ left for the
Scottish Alliance in 1936, as did Ayr United ‘A’ in 1937 when their first
teams were promoted to the Scottish League First Division. After this the
league simply disbanded. |
