Scottish Combination overview

Scottish Alliance

The second version of the Scottish Combination was formed in 1935 primarily to give the reserve sides of Ayr United, Edinburgh City and Third Lanark league competition. Third Lanark ‘A’ left for the Scottish Alliance in 1936, as did Ayr United ‘A’ in 1937 when their first teams were promoted to the Scottish League First Division. After this the league simply disbanded.
