No one has ever heard of my favorite science fiction writer.
While there is a certain satisfaction in the exclusivity of admiring an obscure author, I've still always
thought it was a shame that more people weren't familiar with his work. When I contacted him by email
and we began to correspond, the unfairness of the fact that such a genius was living in obscurity (and
relative poverty) also bothered me.
And so, with his permission, I have undertaken the task of bringing the work of Barrington Bayley to
the masses. Here, then, are three of his short stories.
(His novels are even better, but scanning and editing them would be far too much work.)
