Lucky tried to save Devon and ended up in a fight. He followed her to the motel to get a proper apology from her. However, he ended up spending the night there. When he woke up the next morning, he was long gone.
He returned home to find out he was suspected for burning his business garage. The only way to prove his innocence was to find Devon, but he did not know where she lived.
When he finally found her, he persuaded her to come with him. However, he discovered that she was married, and her husband was in jail. Testifying for him would mean that everyone would know she was unfaithful. But she finally agreed.
They even found the culprits behind the arson. Lucky was in love with Devon by then. He proposed to her. He persuaded her to marry him. When his sister-in-law died, he obtained the divorce for Devon, afraid that he might lose her.
