First, to answer the "fake" question:
Yes, I know that the winner of the match is already known before the match begins; and that they aren't really beating the crap out of each other. Those are the ONLY two things "fake" about wrestling... these guys really can (and do) get hurt.
I like to compare wrestling to watching a stunt in a movie, or watching a magician's act... you know what you are seeing isn't really what's happening, but the good ones make you doubt yourself and you sence for what is real.

WCW or WWF: Which is better?
I like both of the major federations, but I guess after seeing my lists of favorite wrestlers, you'd say I prefer WCW to WWF.
I prefer the WCW because I prefere wrestling over "brawls", and I prefer both over "angles". Don't get me wrong, the WWF has some great characters (which is what I like about the WWF);but as far as wrestlers/athletes, the WCW is better.

As you can see, most of my favorite wrestlers don't have (or need) a "gimmick"... They get into the ring and just give the fans one hell of a match. This doesn't mean that I don't appreciate a good "gimmick" (or a good character)... as the following list should prove.
