MOUNTAINS TO THE SEA TRAIL
Blueridge Mtns, NC







A one hour drive from our house brings you to the BlueRidge Parkway.
We have many favorite spots along this gorgeous thoroughfare winding
along the ridges of the Blue Ridge Mtns. Another half hour of driving
finds you traveling beside the Mountains to the Sea Trail which you can
access from the overlook areas. The trail goes on the very peak of the
ridge along this stretch. During the June rhodendron blooming season
you are walking under long long arched tunnels of catawba red blooms.
If you explore out the side paths you usually come to outcrops of rocks
overlooking the valley.
