Toll House Cookies
(dessert for our families)

1 cup real butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
2 eggs
3 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup walnuts
1 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Pre-heat oven to 350 deg.
Cream sugars, vanilla and eggs. In another bowl mix all dry ingredients together and then stir into creamed mixture. Stir in nuts and chips. Place rounded tablespoons of dough on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake 15 minutes, let cookies cool on pan 5 minutes before removing.

Mint Candy Wreaths
(refreshments for pack meeting)

3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons evaporated milk
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/4 teaspoon pepermint flavoring
green food coloring
tiny red cinnamon candies

Mix together well the first four ingredients; place mixture in a resealable plastic bag. Add a few drops of green food coloring and knead the mixture. Take a piece of the mixture about the size of a walnut and roll it out into about a 4 inch snake. Bend it into a ring like a wreath and press cinnamon candies candies on as holly berries. Place the wreaths on a paper towel as you make them and then cover them with another paper towel. Let them set overnight.
