In Australia, as in England, the middle size or mittelschnauzer is known just as the Schnauzer. While we do, affectionately, call them Standard Schnauzers as the Americans do. The breed is officially known as "Schnauzer" in Australia. But we do not get as paranoid as some over the use of the name. :-)

The Schnauzers were the original of the three breeds and deserve the recognition of this in their name. Remember, the three breeds are three distinct breeds not three sizes of the same breed.

Congratulations to Pat Koller and Am Ch Remporter Star At Always (Imp Aust) who finished ninth in the Standard Schnauzer Club of America's national breed pointscore for 1999.

Australian GRAND Champion Remporter Revel In Glory.
Revel is the only Standard Schnauzer to achieve the award of Runner Up Best In Group at a major Royal, Adelaide, in both 1993 and 1998.

Am Ch Remporter A Starfyr Fox (Imp Aust)
Tristan is the first Australian bred American Champion Schnauzer of any size.

Aust Ch & NZ Ch Khinjan Stars'N Stripes (Imp UK) Tristan, Cadence and Stella's sire who has won his fifth Best in Show with Best in Show at the 1998 Schnauzer Club of NSW Championship Show and was R/Up Best In Show at Adelaide Hills on 30/10/99.

Am Ch Remporter Starman CGC is one of our real favourites - Cadence lives in Falls Church, VA, USA and is owned by Carole Peeler of C&C Pals Dog Training.

1998 was a great year for us with Champions in Australia, New Zealand and the US. As well as our tip to the US, Canada and the UK judging. For trip photos visit our phot album, below.

1999 was even more successful with Evita, Stella, Felicia, Callum and Cadence through to their titles. This made us one of a very small number of Australian Kennels (in any breed) to title three American Champions in a two year period.

As well we won an All Breeds BIS and a an all breeds Runner UP BIS with Felicia, a Specialty BIS and a Specialty R/Up BIS with Cruiser and the Adelaide Royal R/Up BOB and an All Breeds R/Up BIS with Fozzter.

Plus Fabian and Priscilla are well on their way to their tiles with Priscilla almost titled at her first birthday.

The year 2000 saw judging trips to New Zealand, Western Australia and Victoria. 2001 has seen a trip to Thailand another to New Zealand coming while 2002 saw more Best In Show wins, more champions overseas as well as seeing Andrew back to the USA to judge in Florida.

20003 started well with Best of Breed at Canberra Royal, another American Champion and a Specialty Best in Show. Titles to date include Ch Remporter Sweet Revenge and Amstar Poetic Justice.
