Dead Ringers Block

The Word: A HB crag.
The Crag Classic(s): The eponymous Dead Ringers (25).
The Hidden Gem: The whole crag would be a pretty awesome little spot if you were into granite routes of this grade. Plus it's bloody close to the road!
Best Season(s): Summer afternoons.
Sun/shade: Morning sun, afternoon shade.
Wet weather options: Noop.
Style & Length of Climbs: Vertical hard face routes, probably bloody thin and more than a little runout knowing HB.
Rock type: Granite, as usual
Guidebook(s): Mt Buffalo (Lindorff, Murray) Page 153.
Available Grades; Best Grades: 24-25

The Details: Don't know anything about this crag except that it's so close to the road I could stop and take this photo. The ringbolts on HBs routes might be those deathtrap screw-ins which he was using around then which had a nasty habit of snapping right off. Just a thought ... before you commit to the inevitable runouts and probable sandbags!

Access: Drive a few hundred metres beyond the Cathedral car park (continue towards the Horn), and after a few bends you should see this big block poking out of the trees on your right, up a small gully. Park and wander on up.

Descent(s): Dunno - there's a hint of bleaching on top so maybe there's a chain?

Dead Ringers Block as viewed from the road. The left arete is White Chemical Dustbins (25), while Dead Ringers (25) is just R of that arete, and 10m R of that is the trad stemming route Spitting Image (25)
I don't see no jugs...
