Brown's Road
A surprisingly high and extensive crag located at the end of Brown's Rd (off the Comenarra Parkway), near the Sydney Adventist Hospital. The crag reaches up to about 15m in height, and is well equipped with top roping bolts (there are also a small number of leadable climbs). Most of the better walls are located in "The Ampitheatre", where a huge boulder has tilted away from the cliff. There is also particularly good bouldering in "The Alleyway" (about 75m to the left).
Of particular note is the top rope problem below the small gum tree growing out of the middle of the huge block. It's bloody fantastic if you're into thin desperate slabs!
The crag faces primarily west, but is surrounded by thick bush, so its probably suitable for climbing both in winter (afternoons) and summer (mornings).
The guide for the area is the newly published Sun, Surf and Sandstone online guide book. This crag is described here.
