Chairman's Report

It is with great pleasure that I can report that "The Edge" Scout Fellowship is stronger than it has ever been, both in numbers, finances and activities including a proactive programme of support targeting Scouting at the local level.

Backed by an excellent executive team "The Edge" has successfully:

Brilliantly Bowled, Excessed at the Xmas do, Pished at the Pub Crawl, Cruised Round at the Car Rally and Cranially Pontificated at the Chamber's Pot.

Given service by: Feeding Scouts at the Canoe Trek, Judged the British Legion Camping Contest, and pummelled posts, fixed the fencing, flogged firewood and shoveled tonnes of gravel at Harmer Green.

Add to this the now regular pub quizzes, newsletters and events and it can be safely said that "The Edge" is on the edge of breakthough success. It is hoped in the future to do more events and more adventurous ones, there are already provisional plans for an Easter camp and a summer activity.

It is also hoped that with the aid of the ACC and ADC Fellowship we can get together, on a social basis with perhaps other Fellowships for some joint events. With this meeting sees the launch of the two year plan (see back page) which will hopefully form the backbone on which the future expansion of "The Edge" will occur.

Overall a good year after a wobbly start and a better year to follow!
