Marriage Vow Let our feelings for each other continue without diminishing. Only when mountains are leveled to basins, when ocean waters run dry, when winter is ripped with thunders, when the summer sky rains snow, and heaven and earth are smashed together, shall we ever dare to be parted. |

the entire wedding, as I was still living in South Africa up until a
month prior to our wedding. The idea of planning a wedding all
alone would scare the best of men, but not Brian. He took the
love of travel that we both had coursing through our veins, and
applied it to our wedding plans. Check out our informal weddinginvitation - written by my mother-in-law. We did have have a
formal invitation too.Our wedding day was an all day event. We picked our guests up in
Glendale, California at 6am by motor coach and traveled up the Californiacoast to a small Danish town called Solvang. We had a breakfast/brunch
at the beautiful Nojoqui Falls. From there we traveled further up the coast to
the small town of Harmony. This is a quaint little artsy town
located close to Cambria and San Luis Obispo. It had at the time
a population of 18 people. If you ever find yourself in the vicinity
of this town, it is well worth a visit.
After we were married, we
headed to Moonstone Beach for a champagne toast. Unbeknownst to
me, my husband had arranged for a bagpipe player to surprise
me at the beach.
It was an unforgettable sight. We held our
wedding reception at the famous Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo.
All in all, it was one of the most beautiful days of my life, and I
have my husband to thank for that.
Harmony is a magical little town set in the beautiful
countryside of California's Central Coast. Cattlegrazed
hills, whispering eucalyptus trees, and a nearby trickling
stream make it plain that this one time dairy town could
not have been blessed with a better name. Harmony is
the perfect place for a wedding.
A landmark on Californias Central Coast for over forty years! Marvel
at the imaginative interior design and grand architecture of the world
renowned Madonna Inn. Each of the Inns 109 rooms is uniquely
decorated with a special theme and color scheme, no two alike!
We stayed in the "CaveMan Room"
