A Sense of Humor
Three days after my husband died, while I was waiting for friends to come to the house for coffee. I told my children that some how every day I would try to find a reason to smile or laugh. There were and some times still are days when thats a hard thing to accomplish.

At that time I didn't even realize that I was in shock. Another one of God's bandages. Maybe God should get all the profits from Curad and Johnson & Johnson? Just think how much fuller the collection plate would be on Sunday! See, that's the little bit of humor that God gives you

Give me a sense of humor Lord;
Give me the grace to see a joke,
To get some happiness from life
And pass it on to other folk.


What is it they say, ask and you shall receive? He gave me my sense of humor and I'm so very grateful to Him for it. I' d like to pass this on to you, it's too cute to pass up.

Did you hear the one about the two small schoolboys who were sitting in the corner facing the wall?

What are you here for?" one asked.
I got caught talking to Joy!
What about you?"
I got caught talking to God!"

We need a sense of humor. With out it there would be no laughter to be heard or smiles to be seen. A smile is so easy to get, all you have to do is give one. Honest it won't hurt.

There is someone out there right now that could really use that smile from you. I'll leave you with a smile--"Give your troubles to God; He'll be up all night anyway."
