For those of you who have read my Spain page, this is going to seem very familiar, but I'm going to say it anyway -- People are too removed from art. Your normal, everyday Joe (or Josephine, for the double X chromosome club) seems to consider art as something that has no relevance to his everyday life. Art is something in museums, in gallerys, in Europe, owned by the extremely wealthy, or otherwise irrelevant to him. Not so!, says the happy iconoclast (me) who thinks that while one can live without art in one's life, one can also live without flavor in one's oatmeal -- but wouldn't that be just too boring for words? So, I am making a series of small web pages dedicated to my favorite artists. Thus far, I have a page on Georgia O'Keeffe, one on Ansel Adams, and one about Auguste Rodin. Look. Enjoy. Put some honey on your oatmeal.
I also have, at the bottom of this page, a series of art related links that you may find interesting.
