In Sindura, the newly crowned king, Rachendera, heared that Turans are going to attack Pershwa Castle, thus he orders someone to report to Parsian troops in Pershwa. However, Arslan has led his soldiers toward Yekbatarna already. Thus the general tells a messenger, Parazeta, to catch up Arslan and notify the news. The horse that Parazta rides runs as fast as it can, but finally spares no efforts anymore and dies.

As Parazeta is walking on the road, he meets a man rides on a white horse. Parazeta calls him and asks him to borrow the horse, the man refuses. Parazeta fights the man but is knocked down like a paperboard. Parazeta sighs and says that why he's so unlucky to meet a such unreasonable man. The man hears it and says: "What do you mean? You say I, Kibater, is an unreasonable man?" Parazeta hears "Kibater" and jumps up, "You're Kibater? The former royal knight? Please, lend me the beast, because I'm going to tell Prince Arslan that Turans are going to attack Pershwa Castle. I promise I will return the horse." Thus Kibater agrees.

Arslan is waken up by Caswent and told that messenger from Pershwa has just arrived. After a discussion, Narsus suggests Arslan to lead troops back to Pershwa to defeat Turans. Narsus also tells Farangese to lead 500 soldiers back to Pershwa before Arslan's troops get there. Parazeta asks Arslan to give him two horses because he needs to return one to Kibater while he goes back with Farangese. Arslan agrees but lets Parazeta drink the wine with sleeping potion, becuase he thinks that Parazeta really needs some rest. Then Arslan goes to tell Yetwal that he can not keep the promise about bring the injured Lusitanians with him to Yekbatarna, since he has to go back to Pershwa to fights. Yetwal tells him that it is okay; she will take care of them. Arslan promises her that he will leave enough food and medicine for them.

Farangese meets Kibater while she leads 500 soldiers back to Pershwa. She gives Kibater a horse and a bag of reward, and continues going back to Pershwa.

Turan is a nomadic nation. They are very skillful in horsemanship but not good at attacking castles. The troops in Pershwa Catle insist to defence instead of going out to fight. After days of waiting, Turans are impetient.

Kibater follows Farangese to Pershwa. At night, Farangese leads her troops to attack Turans successfully, then enters Pershwa Castle. She tells the army in Pershwa that they just need to hold for another 3 days, Arslan will lead army back soon. Kibater is recognized by the general that he's a former royal knight. Next morning, Turans start to attack Pershwa, but Farangese uses her impressing archery to defence the castle. On the third day, Arslan leads his army to Pershwa, Darun, Kishwade, and Kibater fight Turans, Turans retreat.

In Pershwa, Narsus is talking to Darun about he's suspecion of something happened in Yekbatarna, becuase it is actually a good time for Lusitanians to take action in defeating Arslan, but they don't. Narsus decides to fight Turans for long since Turans are not good at taking over castles or fortresses.

While Arslan goes out to the balcony, the strong earthquake occurs. Farangese looks at the mountains on north-western side and sighs to Alfreed that "a cursed wind is blowing..."

Gieve is riding pass through the valley and meets Silvermask. Silvermask draws his sword, but neither of them is in the mood of fight. Gieve "slides" away while Silvermask is busy to look for the holly sword, which is buried in Parsian hero, Kie Hosro's tomb.

Silvermask orders his soldiers to dig out the holly sword, Ruknabate, but Zendy tells him that it is Ruknabate that "seals" the evil snake king, Zahoke, if the holly sword is removed, the curse will come out agian. Silvermask insists that it is Kie Hosro's spirit to protect Pars and seal Zahoke, not the sword, but if the curse happens, he can still use Ruknabate to defeat Zahoke. Finally, the holly sword is out of earth. While Silvermask is holding it, Gieve appears again. "Stupid poet, " Silvermask snarls, "It is a honor for you to be killed by Ruknabate." Suddenly the earthquake begins, the soldiers shout that Kie Hosro is angry because the seal is broken.

The earthquake continues; the ground is broken and several soldiers fall into the big hole. Gieve tells Silvermsk to put the sword back to earth, but Silvermask orders Zendy to hold the sword and charges Gieve. The earthquake gets stronger; Zendy thus throws Ruknabate to the hole of the separated ground. Gieve flees and sees Turans run toward Pershwa Castle.

Turans still surround the catle. Turan king, Tikatenihi shouts to Arslan to come out to fight, but Arslan ignores him. While Arslan is practicing archery with Farangese, Elam runs to him and tells him that Turans are excuting villagers. Arslan comes out and orders Parsians to fight. Arslan aggressivly runs into Turans. When he is about to be wounded by a Turan soldier, Gieve comes out and saves him.
