Comic Synopsis Volume 12

Giskal's army is crashed by Andragoras', but there's still half of the Lusitanian army in reserved condition for the final strike-back. Zaravant and Jimsa pass through Lusitanian battle camps but are discovered by Giskal's soldiers. Just as the Lusitanians prepare to capture them, Darun leads Parsian army to rescue them.

Next morning, Arslan's army begins to fight against Giskal's. Giskal becomes the captive. However, Arslan releases him because Narsus suggests that it will only make Lusitanians more angry if they kill or prison Giskal.

Arslan decides to go back to Yekbatarna and faces Hilmes and Andragoras. Thus Narsus tells Zaravant to lead Parsian army to Kiran to join with Curager. Another side, Kishwade leads Andragoras' army to attack Parsian palace but is stopped by Saam. While they are fighting, Andragoras comes and tells Saam to lead him to Hilmes.

Hilmes is, of course, very surprised to see Andragoras but even more shocked by the talking. Andragoras tells Hilmes that Hilmes isn't Osris' son, because Osris and Andragoras' father, Costarches, is very superstitious. He believed that the only way to avoid the falling of the family was to have a son with Osris' wife. So Hilmes is the son of Costarches and Osris' wife. Costarches' superstition got more and more serious, thus Andragoras and Osris both planed to kill him, especailly Osris.

Arslan and Darun come to visit Kishwade in the camp. Knowing that Andragoras has gone to see Hilmes, Arslan requsts to see Tahamine...

*Back to Parsian year 303. Andragoras conquered a small neighboring country and met Tahamine, who was a young wife of the count. The count commited suicide when Andragoras took over his country. Thus Andragoras came back to the palace and demanded the king, Osris' permission to marry Tahamine. Osris promised but was curious about what kind of woman Tahamine was. One night, Osris saw Tahamine who walked in the garden and indeed was enchanted by her beauty. He broke his oath and insisted to marry her. Andragoras broke up with Osris but before anybody knew the bad blood between them, Osris got injured by falling from a horse and died, then Andragoras became the king...*

Arslan stands in front of Tahamine but cannot speak a word. Finally Tahamine tells Arslan that he's not her child. In the palace, Andragoras tells Hilmes that Osris also told him to kill Hilmes because Hilmes was cursed. Hilmes stays in the shocking stage but finally draws his sword and fights Andragoras. While they are fighting, a mysterious man appears and claims himself as a follower of snake king. He tells Hilmes that he knows who Arslan really is.

Tahamine tells Arslan that he's actually a son of a former royal knight. His mother died after gave birth to him. The knight accepted the advise of an emissary from the palace and gave Arsln to him. The knight never appeared again after he went to a battle. Tahamine also says that her real child is a daughter, but since female could not inherit throne in Pars, the daughter was brought to somewhere eles, and Arslan was brought to the palace as a prince. The husband and wife who took care of Arslan were poisoned in purpose of avoiding any trouble.

In the palace, Hilmes also understood Arslan has no royal blood.

After Arslan knows the truth, he goes to his friends and tells them the truth. Narsus reminds him that a quality of a king is not decided on whether he has royal blood or not. Thus Arslan decides to go to the mountain and find holy sword, Ruknabate, and fight back to Yekbatarna to become the king.
