Miaka Yuuki is a teenage girl studying for her high school entrance exams. When she is pulled into The Universe of the Four Gods, she becomes the Suzaku no Miko, destined to find the Seven Seishi of Suzaku and receive miraculous power.
Miaka is a sweet and very hungry girl. Most of her actions are controlled by her emotions (especially hunger!). She is braver than she looks and will stand by the people she cares about no matter what the circumstances.
Oh yeah, did we mention she has a very large appetite?
