Maggie Cheung

Maggie Cheung came to Melbourne in July 1997 to promote her new movie Irma Vep at the Melbourne International Film Festival. She was accompanied by her boyfriend Olivier Assayas, who is also the director of Irma Vep.

The movie was shown on 30th and 31st of July. Maggie and Olivier addressed the audience prior to the movie's screening, giving a brief overview of the storyline. On that night Maggie was wearing a blue knit, an orange jacket, and sporting a new short haircut. Even though most people prefer Maggie with long hair, she still looked attractive on that night!

After the movie, there was a conference at the Melbourne Town Hall which gave people the opportunity to ask Maggie and Olivier questions. Maggie appeared warm and welcoming during the conference. Finally, many of Maggie's fans asked to take photos along side of her. Of course, I was one of them!

What an unforgettable moment in my life! I hope you will be the next one to meet Maggie!
