How I Found Out About The Three Sacred Shooting Stars

"We will always sing for you. If necessary, we will give our lives for you. That's us-the Sailor StarLights."-From the manga.

You all must be wondering what this is. Well, it's basically how I found out about the Star Lights. (In case you haven't figured it out yet, they are the three sacred shooting stars. Duh.) I don't know why I decided to post this, maybe because it was such a close call....ANYWAY, it might be a bit boring, so if you don't wanna read this, I suggest you click the back browser right now.
Still here? Okay, here goes absolutely nothing-----------

It was in the beginning of seventh grade, and I knew nearly nothing about Sailor Moon, much less Sailor Stars. For example, I never knew that Chibi Usa was Usagi's daughter from the future. I had assumed they were sisters. I didn't know anyone's name or even their senshi title (except for Sailor Moon, but that's pretty obvious, since the entire series has her name all over it). Of course, I never even knew there were three new senshi.

This soon changed. One lunch time, I was looking for a familiar face, and I saw someone (whom I won't mention the name of. We'll just call her "Kathy") that I knew from sixth grade. Since it was the beginning of school, and I had no idea who was in all my classes, this made me feel incredibly relieved. We began to talk and got to know each other. "Kathy" was Japanese, and often brought in manga and other books in her native language. One day, she brought in Bishojo Senshi Sailor Moon.

We began to talk about it, and she told me, "There are three new Sailor senshi." I wasn't incredibly interested about that, because I had just found out the stunning news (prepare yourself) that Chibi Usa was Usagi's daughter. (Oh wonders of wonders! Note my slight sarcasm there. ~_~) She took the books home. A few days later, she brought them back, telling me that the princess of the senshi had weird shoes. We looked at the picture of her at the end of the manga (you know, volume 16) and decided that they were pretty unique...like clown shoes.

One thing led to another, and soon I was at "Kathy's" house for a sleep over. Now, at this point I had gained the oh-so-profound knowledge of who Sailor Moon's guardians were, and that they WERE the guardians. (Make sense to you?) However, I wasn't really into any one of them, though I did remember thinking that the StarLights were pretty darn cool, and really unique from everyone else. (Just look at their uniforms!) Then "Kathy" told me that she had video number six from Sailor Moon. (That one starts with the softball episode. Or was it baseball? And ends with the Seiya is hurt but sings at the concert to give Usagi a message episode.) She asked me if I wanted to watch, and added that if I didn't, we didn't have to. I had been a little reluctant, but also a bit curious.

Here's where it was such a close call. Thinking back on it, I knew that if I had refused to watch it, I never would have become attracted to them, and this page wouldn't be here...lots of things wouldn't be here. Well, luckily for me and "Kathy", I decided that it'd be okay to watch. (Oh yeah, these were the Japanese episodes.) What happened after? I was pestering her to PLEASE translate, since I was as confused as inferno (hehe, couldn't resist tagging that there) AND, the most important, I loved it!

Who is my favorite? It's hard to say, since I love all three, however, I have to say I am most attracted to Healer. [See why this paragraph is in green? :-)] Why, you ask, were you attracted to Healer/Yaten? Well, I think the first thing was the way she (oops, sorry, I meant he) cracked up in the baseball episode when Usagi got hit by the ball. (In contrast to Taiki, who valiantly tried to suppress his laughter. ::smiles::) And the way his eyes widened when he asked Rei, "Why?" (You know, the part where she said that there was no way Seiya would win.) There were lots of other stuff too, but the one that really got me was the plane episode, when Yaten transformed into Sailor Star Healer. Her green eyes absolutely stunned me. It's hard to express, but it seemed like they were truly alive, not an anime. I was completely sucked in by her eyes. I mean, they were beautiful! (I do not like the way this sounds. No, I DO NOT have feelings for him! Especially since "he" is actually a she.)

Now, I realize that it seems that Healer is my favorite. That's not true. I love all three. It's just that Healer and I seem to identify. (And she has such an awesome attack! ::sigh::) If I start on Maker and Fighter and continue with Healer, you'll be asleep (if you aren't already). So I'll stop blabbing and end this. (Okay, okay, you can stop cheering.)

Hey, LB (you know who you are!) remember the Three "Rights"? ^_~
That's an inside joke I have with one of my friends. It's okay if you don't get it.
